Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted February 2, 2017 Your SS tax will be the same once you max it out. Anyone making over the max ($115k, I think) pays only that amount. One of the things that could easily help with the underfunding of SS is to remove that cap. We don't need people paying more. We need more people paying. $7,300 a year for something I might live long enough to collect a portion of is quite enough.
