hecklers 0 Posted August 19, 2006 Let me know how I did and I'll answer yours. It's a standard scoring system, keeper league. Here it is: QB - Carson Palmer, David Carr RB - Willie Parker, Deuce McAllister, L. Maroney, M. Bell, J. Norwood, Wali Lundy (HOU) WR - Deion Branch, Andre Johnson, Matt Jones, Antonio Bryant, Lee Evans, Troy Williamson TE - R. McMichael Def - Steelers K - pickup later Who do you think should be the starters?? Other than Palmer of course. Start - QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1Flex (WR/RB) TE, DEF
skittles 0 Posted August 19, 2006 I don't love this team kid. I know that isn't what you asked, but just thought I'd kick it in. Must be a very deep league (16?) for a roster like that. Your week 1 starters: QB Palmer (hopefully) RB Parker RB M. Bell (assuming he is still starting) WR A. Johnson WR A. Bryant WR L. Evans FL Branch if available. D. McAllister otherwise. TE R. McMichaels DST Steelers K ? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222611

hecklers 0 Posted August 19, 2006 I think my WR's are looking pretty darn good. I know my RB's may be young, but I think Parker will have a good year and McAllister will get most of the TD's up close, plus Maroney is looking like the real deal. Am I way off??? Darb33 0 Posted August 19, 2006 I see your starters as follows: Carson Palmer Willie Parker Deuce McCallister Andre Johnson Lee Evans Matt Jones Mike Bell Randy McMichael Pitt D Must be a Texans fan huh?? I think you might be in trouble with this team, unless it's a very large league. Branch holding out isn't helping anything either. Please check out my thread, thanks. staypuft29 0 Posted August 19, 2006 yeah, it would help if you posted how many teams were in your league. you have a lot of players that could have great years next year, but you don't have a whole lot of proven veterans and you have quite a few risky picks. palmer may or may not be great next year depending on his injury... maroney could be great based on how he looked in the preseason game last week... m. bell, w. lundy, a. bryant, l. evans... same kind of stuff, risky but the rewards could be pretty good. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222629
leftyguitar 0 Posted August 19, 2006 Sorry hecklers, i'm gonna have to go tough on you too. Who was your first round pick??? WR's are OK, but no real depth or consistency, no star #1. you've got a guy who said he's willing to hold out most of the year, a guy on a new team, a guy who has jp losman throwing to him, and a guy on the texans. the best of your WR's is gonna give you the same as most other team's WR#2 numbers. RB is very weak as well. duece will be ok until he inevitably gets hurt, tatum will be starting over mike in denver, maroney is only worth starting if dillon goes down, who are norwood and lundy? Carson Palmer is still a question mark to start the season and carr is a sack machine. on the bright side, mcmichael is gonna be great, parker will too, pitt D is always strong. but TE and DEF are a dime a dozen. i understand if your leauge has 14-16+ teams in it that you might have had to take what you can get, and in that case you'll be okay. probably not quite playoff calibur but close. if you're in a 10-12 teamer though, you're screwed. good luck! please see my qb question: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=222621
