reefy33 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Would you trade Vick for Donald Driver? Driver is playing well, but I drafted Vick for this situation. Him finally figuring it out. Driver is an upgrade right now from Javon even though Javon is slowly playing better. Plummer is killing Javon. I have Vick, Warner and Plummer. Plummer scares me. But, I like Warner. Problem is Vick has the potential to be great, but also the big injury problem. I'm worried Vick's stock will never be higher. If I do this I'm thinking of insisting on Laurence Moroney. Maybe Vick and Rod Smith for Driver and Maroney. Would you roll with my current team and pair Vick and Warner all year? Would you trade Warner? Would you sell high with Vick? REDRAFT LEAGUE Starting Lineup 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR 1 TE 1 K 1 Defense My Team QB Kurt Warner, Michael Vick, Jake Plummer RB Ronnie Brown, Willie Parker, Deshaun Foster, Correll Buckhalter, Michael Pittman WR Terrell Owens, Javon Walker, Rod Smith, Antonio Bryant TE Ben Watson, L.J. NebraskaRRT 0 Posted September 22, 2006 Driver would be a nice addition, but really the WR core is not to bad you have there. Plummer will play better. Owens injury maybe one reason you are thinking of making this trade. I would look to improve your RB situation. Pittman and Buck do hold significant value if injury bug continues to hamper Caddy and Bwest. Foster is a game or 2 from being #2 behind Williams. Maybe you can move one of your Donkey WR and the TE of your choice for an upgrade in WR. The deal for maroney and driver sounds pretty good given your situation. seattleslew 0 Posted September 23, 2006 Maybe Vick and Rod Smith for Driver and Maroney. If this is a keeper league I say this is an absolute no-brainer. If not, you're leaving yourself a little weak at QB for a good WR and potentially great RB.
badassbroncs 0 Posted September 23, 2006 Id go for the Maroney deal but not the Driver for Vick straight up deal. Like you said Vicks stock is high so if someone wants him make them pay for him, keep shopping him around and see what you can come up with. Melvinbet 5 Posted September 23, 2006 Yeah, Driver and Maroney would be good for you. Vicks value is high, but if he stays healthy it will stay high and a value to your team. See mine please
rbh39497 0 Posted September 23, 2006 I don't think you should do any of those trades. Keep Vick. As long as he is not injured he is the best QB you have and maybe a top 3or 4 QB league wide. Yes he has injury issues but so does Warner and Plummer should be doing just that . . . plumbing. I don't think you RB situation is that bad. Brown and Parker are two solid starters. Yes you could use help at your WR. But check out your wavier wire . . . Cotchery still there? How about K. Robinson (big upside). You could drop Plummer or a TE. Please answer mine . . . http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=236450
kcBlitzkrieg 29 Posted September 23, 2006 Keep Vick for now, I don't see his injury risk being any greater than Warners. If you are in a keeper league then thats a different story. If thats the case & you can pull Maroney then Id do it, but no way would I give up Vick for Driver straight up, just make sure you get some good quality. Your team is pretty solid, I wouldn't worry about the RBs since you only start 2RB, good depth there. If this is a redraft league then Id say just stay sit unless you can pull a deal for a Chambers or Ward quality 1A receiver. Its so early in the season, you have a solid squad and can afford to hold out for something better.
ramblin'wreck 0 Posted September 23, 2006 I think your QBs are already very good. Try to sell high on Vick now and get helps in a WR position. I think you can get a better deal than Driver. Help with mine pls http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=236402
bauman88 0 Posted September 23, 2006 I think the WR you have will be more consistent. Driver will be up and down with Favre all year. you don't need three Qbs though. Plummer might get benched and Warner is an injury away from the Lineart era. Keep Vick. see me http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=235688
dojo_commish 0 Posted September 23, 2006 If it's a keeper league you bet. I am not a huge fan of NE players, just becuase you never know other than Brady who is going to play and how much, but I think maroney will be pretty good. You do run the risk of being real thin at QB. Is Warner going to get hurt? If Denver loses Sunday, how many people will be after jake the snake? I think Atlanta looks pretty good right now, and if they play well another week or two, you will be able to get more for Vick. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=236475
Kilroy 0 Posted September 23, 2006 I'd trade Vick for Driver and then cut either Pittman or Buckhalter for Leinart if he's still available. Vick's putting up good fantasy numbers, but he's still only completing 54% of his passes. If he doesn't rush for at least 40 yards in a game, he's likely to have a mediocre outing for your fantasy team. If you value QB depth more than WR depth/strength, then keep Vick, but in the long run I think Driver will benefit your team more.

Yeah, I would. Warner will have a decent season and Driver will upgrade your WR's. When TO comes back, you'll have an awesome 3 of TO, Driver and Bryant.
