Bills04 62 Posted September 3, 2006 I think I screwed up my 2nd pick, at #20. I took IND WR M. Harrison, and two RBs that I liked (MIN-C. Taylor and JAX-F. Taylor) were taken after me at #21 and 28... I was therefore "chasing" RB -depth the rest of the draft. Team is, by round: MIA RB R. Brown #20 = IND WR M. Harrison #29 = SEA QB M. Hasselbeck IND RB D. Rhodes NE RB C. Dillon NO WR J. Horn (in the 6th!) NE TE B. Watson TEN RB C. Brown (rumors about T. Henry, though...) TB DEF CAR WR K. Johnson (LOVE the "fade-route" in '06!) BAL QB McNair NE WR R. Caldwell (someone has to catch Brady's passes!) STL KCR J. Wilkins (I wanted CAR KCR Kasay, he went 4 before my pick!) MIN TE J. Wiggins (trade bait, if I need to!) GB WR G. Jennings (I had a feeling he'd be the #2) MIN RB M. Moore (porked the guy that took C. Taylor) ATL KCR M. Koenen (pork everyone else waiting on a KCR) KC RB M. Bennett (awesome; got the best backup RB in the last round!) Thanks, and don't forget to leave your link!
Kitsnow 0 Posted September 3, 2006 http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227715 mine above. Not exactly who your starting but taking chester taylors backup isn't exacly porking him. what is the point system and required. Clean up your post a little. Assuming you start 2 RB your in a dangerous situation with rhodes or Dillion. Dillion though more solid is lible to hurt you with lat minute coach subouts. Bills04 62 Posted September 3, 2006 "Based on feedback" Start 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 KCR and 1 DEF. Scoring = 6 pts. per TD (4 pts. for passing TDs), 1 pt. per 10 yards (per 25 passing).
dcg 0 Posted September 3, 2006 Agree with you on your lack of talent at RB, and IMO the 5th pick overall is a little early for Brown. A RB in either the 2nd or 3rd round would have been a good idea...I think the Hasselbeck pick is too early. I'm concerned about Rhodes losing his job to Addai. I do like Horn. I'd be worried about injury w/ Dillon and Brown, which coupled with Rhodes moving to the #2 behind Addai could leave you in a bad spot at RB. Round 9 is pretty early to grab a def. And in the draft, I'd be more concerned about picking guys who help me rather than porking other people http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227656
nadnewob 1 Posted September 3, 2006 RB's are a concern..... But you could have the top WR in Harrison so I dont thhink thats a bad pick. 3rd round is WAY to early to take Hasselback. Could be a competetive team, you need Ronnie Brown to go off. Please rate mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227722
Bills04 62 Posted September 3, 2006 To DCG: At #5, I liked S-Jax, R. Brown, R. Johnson or P. Manning. S-Jax now has to compete with Stephen Davis, so I'm glad I passed on him. I've had Rudi before .. and he goes GAMES where he doesn't score a TD, and then will go off for 2-3 TDs on somebody (he isn't too consistent...). And, while I like P. Manning, I wouldn't take him that high. // I really wanted SEA QB; the web-site had him ranked as the #36 player, and he might not have been available when I next picked (from #29 to #44...). // For TB DEF - that is the last one available that I liked, and I was looking at the "long turn" (from #101 to #116) in my face. // Yeah - my M. Moore pick-up could come back and bite me. I didn't realize he's been nursing an injury for WEEKS?!? Looking back, I should have grabbed NYJ RB D. Blaylock! You didn't screw up the 2nd (what's not to like about Harrison) but Hasselbeck too early and I don't like Rhodes or Dillon. The rest of your picks are all good - Jennings, McNair, Bennett late. C. Brown may help you a lot depending on a few things (starting? trade?).
COACHG137 0 Posted September 3, 2006 I LIKE R BROWN THIS YEAR . I DID NOT HIM GET THOUGH . I HAD THE 3 RD PICK AND TOOK SA . MAYBE IF ONE OF YOUR WR'S BLOW UP EARLY ( JENNINGS ? ) YOU TRADE FOR SOME RB DEPTH . GOOD LUCK !! http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=227637

Your team looks good overall, I think Dillon will serve you well early in the year, but keep an eye on the WW for a possible steal at RB as Dillon fades towards the end of the year. Watson should be HUGE this year, Hass was a little early in the 3rd, but will be a solid QB for you. Dump M. Moore for any other FA that can help you... C. Fason is the backup to C. Taylor right now Good luck!

Bye week fill in might be interesting, but something may pop up on the WW before you need it. Te, same as mine. Watson is going to be huge this year. WR is decent as well. Overall, I think you have a steady performer.
c_Weezie 3 Posted September 3, 2006 I like Dillon, until he gets hurt or benched. I stillthink he has 1 good year left. I also love Ben Watson. Overrall I give your team a 7/ 10, decent and should compete, but not amazing.
