Would you give up A. Bryant for Thomas Jones?

Recommended Posts

I have been offered Thomas Jones straight up for Antonio Bryant.

I have Holt, Wayne, Mushin, Williamson, Bennett, Greg Jennings, and Bryant. (start 4)

My RB's are LT2, J. Lewis, Fred Taylor, and Duece. (start 3)

Would you make this deal? I like the offer because I can gain more depth at RB.

I don't like the trade. Chicago hasn't been running the ball well, or as much as they were last year now that they have a decent passing attack. The deal gives you more RB depth, but you aren't hurting there. And Bryant is having a good year, #10 among WRs. He'd be too high a price. I'd counter with one of your other WRs.

I say dont do it.. Jones might get replaced by benson soon and your 3rd and 4th wrs are not great. You could easily start bryant over any of them each week. bryant is the number 1 target in SF. Plus your rb's are good. try picking up jones-drew for insurance for taylor. Or maybe a trade like bryant anf fred for chester taylor might work.

Thanks for mine.

I have T. Jones and not only am I waiting for CHI to get the run going but I am worried about Benson. The team seems hellbent on getting their top pick into more games. I live near Chicago and this is what I hear on the local sports radio station.

Not a terrible deal - you get additional depth at RB - you have plenty of depth at WR.

On the other hand - why don't you package 2 WRs for an upgrade to T.Jones. I share the above concerns.

For RB depth, what would it take to get Jordan. I bet not much. Trust me, he will be worth owning as teh season goes along. I traded T. Jones and Reggie Brown for him about a week ago. Some said I overpaid by throwing in Brown, but I had so much depth at WR, he would have been waived anyway.

I'd pass unless you're really jammed with bye week blues. Chicago's rolling along (I'm here), but the running game is just adequate. I really like Thomas, but he's not the pounding guy Benson is. I think it's only a matter of time before Chicago goes RBBC or Benson at least starts getting goal-line stuff.
