throttlers 0 Posted October 14, 2006 This is a 12 team redraft, standard scoring, half a ppr, all TD's 6pts. I am in 1st place overall with a record of 4-1. I am wondering if I should stand pat or shake things up to keep my lead. Here's my roster: QB - McNabb, McNair RB - Alexander, Addai, Benson, Jacobs WR - Boldin, Colston, Stallworth, Cotchery, M.Jones, Gabriel K - Kasay DST - Eagles, Falcons I have managed to do well with almost nothing out of Alexander so far this year. That is in large part due to McNabb. With Alexander coming back soon, he and McNabb could be a nice tandem. Do I stick with what I have or do I see what I can get for McNabb and maybe strengthen my RB's? I'm thin after Alexander at RB. We drafted 1 week befroe D.Davis got injured and I had drafted him at the end of round 2. What would you do?

What would you do? idk.. i would say keep mcnabb.. if it ain't broke dont fix it! but your rb situation is pretty weak, i think addai is gonna get the job sooner or later wait that one out.. i guess just stay alert on WW running backs and maybe you can steal one but i like boldin, and stallworth when healthy is double points for you
batman) 0 Posted October 15, 2006 Thanks for the reply! Keep McNabb. I think you're QB situation would lack even more w/o him. McNair isn't a reliable back-up to him. Unless you can find someone in the free agency like Grossman (which is unlikely), then don't bother trading McNabb. So just stay in there and keep praying for SA's health and someother RB to get on the WW.
hack 0 Posted October 15, 2006 I'd keep McNabb. SA should be back and will provide more than enough pts to cover your #2.
throttlers 0 Posted October 15, 2006 I've been talking to an owner and I might be able to get LT for him. Would that change anyones opinion?
kellyaucoin 0 Posted October 15, 2006 straight up McNabb for LT? wow. the only thing that worries me about LT (or thrills me actually cuz i own MT) is that he's losing some carries to Michael Turner. but im tempted to say do it for LT. then maybe try to pick up a QB like Rivers, Frye, Losman (Grossman if you can), and platoon based on matchups. also maybe try to trade Benson while people still think he'll get more carries (i dont), maybe packaging him with a WR, and one of your new QBs (or McNair) and try to upgrade at that position. maybe an Eli or try for an underperforming QB wholl probably bounce back soon, like Palmer or someone like that. dont know if this helps. thanks for mine
Cuse9 129 Posted October 15, 2006 QB - McNabb, McNair RB - Alexander, Addai, Benson, Jacobs WR - Boldin, Colston, Stallworth, Cotchery, M.Jones, Gabriel K - Kasay DST - Eagles, Falcons The only thing I would do is to try and add some strength at rb. I would take Cotchery or Stallworth and package some sort of deal to upgrade your #2 back...nothing stellar, but a solid starter or at least get a handcuff duo. Looks like you could get lucky again this week. No SA or Addai, but you Benson playing Zona (how did Zona get a Monday night game?) anyway, Benson ought to get garbage points again. I don't see you making it through the year with those rb's....unless SA comes back to 100% and Addai steps up and takes the Indy job outright. Right now you're leaning way too much on McNabb, don't want to do that. Congrats on getting to 4-1, but I think you realize you need to address the rb problem or you could get into trouble!! LT for McNabb.....no deal. I love LT, but McNabb is flatout running away with the fantasy MVP this year and there no end in sight!! Good luck and thanks for checking mine. KillerHz 0 Posted October 15, 2006 I would keep McNabb depending on your scoring system, if it's yards and touchdown then keep him. I wish I had McNabb... please answer mine... http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=244168
nosferatu9368 0 Posted October 15, 2006 If you can get LT straight up for McNabb.... DO IT!!! McNabb will come back to earth as the season goes on and If you had SA and LT that would be pretty hard to beat come Fantasy playoff time. Look at San Diego's Schedule for the Fantasy Playoffs. You can try to pick up a QB on the WW or possibly trade one of your WR's for a middle of the road QB. It's alot easier to pick up a QB that can help on a weekly basis than it is to get a RB... Good Luck Thanks for answering mine Peace...
hagler 0 Posted October 15, 2006 I'd trade McNabb for LT..... But, package Addai or Benson for a QB in exchange also----can't roll with McNair. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=244160

thenewlibrahi2 0 Posted October 15, 2006 I would never trade McNabb, but if you can LT, DO IT!!! You could have Butthead Jr. as your QB.... LT and Alexander will win you a lot of games. A WW QB like Rivers could really help you too.... http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=244195

Niners_fan 0 Posted October 15, 2006 Keep McNabb. If you're in first place why go messing with flow is how I see it. Try to grab a rb off the ww to get you by while SA heals, someone like Travis Henry, Leon Washington, sadly Ron Dayne, or Barber III. You can also try to trade some of your lower tier players for a rb if you choose. Keep McNabb though.
