SaintsInDome2006 470 Posted October 24, 2006 I've been doing pretty well lately (4 game win streak, now 5-2) but all three of my starting wr's are now hurt (Fitz, Jennings and SMoss). Really bizarre. My solution is to try to trade SMoss. Moss is truly an awesome player and it's a mystery why Brunell does not throw to him more; maybe that's just not Gibbs-ball, who knows. But to get out of this situation I thought of trading for Chad Johnson. Does anyone see how this can be done? It seems simple to me since Moss is the no. 10 receiver in my league and CJ is no. 32, but Moss is on Bye and he did get dinged in the last game (not serious, he will be back for the next game) so who knows if the owner will go fo it. Moss is no. 10 by virtue of his blowup week, otherwise he would be right where CJ is. I'm gambling or expecting that CJ will return to form. Other than trading I could drop Dallas Clark and a kicker (that's not as easy as it seems: keep Wilkins or Vinatieri?), but there is not much on the waiver wire for WR's not on bye. Standard scoring: 6pts per TD, 1 pt per 10 yds rush, 1 pt per 10 yds rec., .5 point per reception, etc. 10 team league; 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DST Starters: QB-M Bulger RB-L Johnson RB-D Foster WR-D Gabriel WR-G Jennings (inj) WR-B Edwards TE-T Heap K-J Wilkins D Broncos Bench: QB-J Delhomme RB-W McGahee-Bye WR-L Fitzgerald (inj) WR-S Moss TE-Dallas Clark K-A Vinatieri
nosferatu9368 0 Posted October 24, 2006 If you could somehow swing a deal to land Chad Johnson for Santana Moss. Way to go. Huge upgrade Chad will get more involved as the year goes on (he just has to right?) Moss is a 3 great weeks a year player and nothing more. Good Luck Here's Mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=247463 Peace...
jdizel 0 Posted October 25, 2006 If you can do Moss for Johnson go ahead. I doubt he'd do it as Johnson has way more upside than Moss who is in a struggling offense. And it's OK to drop one of your kickers, you only need one. Keep Wilkins!!
1b4igo 0 Posted October 25, 2006 i would make that move for CJ, if you can. If not, try dropping a kicker not named Wilkins and grab Drew Bennett for the week aginst Texans. He should be available and is Youngs best option. thanks for the input on mine, but one more question, if I drop Williams, I can't pick him up for 2 weeks, which means someone will most certainly nab him. I am playing for this year though and Lundy could help more now. Would yuo cut Norwood or M Turner instead? i hate doing that because they each score a little each week and could be huge if the starter goes down?
bluethunder 0 Posted October 25, 2006 I thought about trading Santana last week in a deal for Chad but chose to go for Harrison instead. Although Moss has a lot of potential, I think most in my league see him as too inconsistent to be considered a top receiver. I was loaded down with running backs and really needed another top receiver to go with Holt so my final deal was: Moss & Dunn for Harrison and Addai I think I would have had to do a similar deal with the C. Johnson owner.
