MarquetteMan 0 Posted November 8, 2006 I'd never recommend trading for the sake of trading. Test the market, see what you can get dealing from your depth. I think your team is looking solid at all positions, but could be improved with a stronger option at QB. If you can take advantage of moving one of your excellent WR's (Evans and Bryant seem to be the odd players out, and I have Evans, banking on him having a strong second half, like last year) or third option running back (Looks to be Green, who's having a better season than his value indicates) then I'd make the move. Also, how do the other teams that are behind you look, I wouldn't make a gamble that would deplete my depth unless it looks like someone else is good enough to actually pass you. You've made it this far with very little production from your teams stud, Alexander. If he can get it going I think you got to be feeling pretty good about your teams chances. Your not in a position where you can start looking at week 14-16 matchups yet, I like the fact your still thinking about making the playoffs. In a few weeks you may want to start planning the postseason, if one of your lead for the final playoff position starts to solidify.
Wiserman20 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I like where your at as well but... can Kitna stay hot?? Brett is out IMO with the schedule he has left.. Vikings will crush the rush and leave Brett hurling random passes again and then the Pats... See if you can trade Brett or pick up someone else on the wire... Maybe a Rivers or Huard is out there? This week go with Kitna against San Fran for Rex type numbers (at least against San Fran)... WR Roy.. guy is on fire and will kill San Fran Smith vs. Tampa Bay... we suck Boldin vs. Dallas RB Gore vs. Detroit A.Train like you said practice what you preach lol I like the San Diego D against a struggling Cincy team ( just hope they dont pick this week to go off)
Garson1 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I agree with the others. Your team looks strong. I am one that thinks you can win with a lesser QB as long as your RBs and WRs are strong. If Alexander can come back, you will be solid and I think Kitna can be good with that Martz offence.
cougars 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I would shop around for a QB you look good at RB and WR so try to up grade your QB but don't give up too much Thanks for mine
nos23 1 Posted November 9, 2006 stay put thanks for mine
Fearsome 22 Posted November 9, 2006 Thanks for the help...I think you are good. If you wanted to change anything I might upgrade your QB. You have nice RB depth so you could get a quality QB for say Gore or Green. You maight also dangle SA since his return keeps getting pushed back.
Gepetto 1,367 Posted November 9, 2006 Try trading Shaun Alexander for an elite QB.
nosferatu9368 0 Posted November 9, 2006 First off thanks for answering mine. I'd try to shop maybe a QB and a WR ( where your pretty set) for another back because IMO SA will not be the same if and when he comes back. Good Luck Peace...
Cjt727 0 Posted November 9, 2006 From what I see your team looks fine. Thanks for the help....I put a waiver claim on KC.
ingsoc747 0 Posted November 9, 2006 Your record of 5-4 bothers me... were your losses close games? Let me guess, your team went downhill when SA went out... you can try the previous suggestion of unloading him for a great #1 QB, seems like a good move to me.. shop him around and see what hapepns
bauman88 0 Posted November 9, 2006 got offered Brees for Alexander. I drafted him #3 and traded him in week 2 after his shitty running. Then got him back a few weeks back.
RCBlitz 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I think that you team looks good. When Alexander comes back it will kick up a notch also. I have the same two QB's and actually like the way things set up. Kitna is solid and in that offense playing from behind most of the time I don't see why he would come down. In our league he is #6 and Favre is #7. I say play the matchups with them unless a stud like Peyton is there for the taking. One interesting option might be to package 2 of the 3 RB's(Alexander, Green, Gore) and see if someone with one stud and not much support would be willing to do a 2 for 1. good luck and thanks for mine. RicoSuave 0 Posted November 9, 2006 I would either try to sell high on Anthony Thomas and/or Wali Lundy, otherwise what I would do is see if you can trade Shaun Alexander for a great QB. Depending on the type of person who has the QB, you could probably get Peyton Manning or Donovann McNabb. Remember, even when Alexander was healthy this year, he was still playing poorly. Take a look at his games before he got hurt. I would try to trade Alexander before he comes back, because I strongly doubt that he will do good, and nowhere near last year. Thanks for answering mine. bauman88 0 Posted November 11, 2006 How about acquiring Edge? is that good. I was offered Rothlesberger/edge for Roy williams
drewznot 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Hold unless you think you can steal a better QB option. Colston is a steal at TE. thanks for your feedback
Dol-Fan 0 Posted November 11, 2006 I say use some of your depth @ WR and RB to get a real stud in either position, like an LT or LJ at RB. The season is closing down and I think now is the time to start dealing. You are plenty deep....go for a killer.
-bp- 0 Posted November 11, 2006 I don't see SA doing much this season, I'd try to get a better QB for him
