Is Romo for real?

Recommended Posts

Indy's defense is like 4th or 5th vs the pass and Dallas has to run the ball hard and often to keep it out of Peyton's hands. Knowing Parcells, I expect him to control the clock.

Favre plays a shoddy NE secondary that ranks 24th vs the pass. And considering that NE has a solid run defense, GB may be forced to throw the ball a lot in that game. I hear Favre has a sore ankle and groin though and that scares me.

I know Romo has been hot since he got the starting spot but can he really put up more points than Favre this week?

that's a tough one.

My gut says Romo. Tuna will pound the rock. This will set up the pass. The game will be close. Both teams should put up points. Romo seems really solid once he gets into the other teams half of the field. And he's starting to look beyond TO and Witten. He'll have a solid day IMO.

Favre is probably the better call on paper. But, I just don't think GB gets it done this weekend. I think the Patriots get back on track and Favre throws a few picks trying to save the day. After all, when has NE lost 3 in a row?

I think I would go with Romo. Most likely Dallas will be playing in a shootout and that could mean a lot of points for Romo.

I'd probably start Romo. Terry Glenn is back and Romo has looked sharp even without Glenn, arguably the best WR on the team. INDIANAPOLIS WILL LOSE THEIR FIRST GAME THIS YEAR TO DALLAS (you heard it here first) so Romo will probably have a good day. I don't see NE losing yet again and they will step up to the challenge. Take Romo.

I am in a similar dilema. I have Romo and Vick and can't decide which to start so I'm hesitant to answer since I haven't even decided for myself.

I think this one is a tough call either way and you are likely to get different answers. Favre has been strong and Romo is on a hot streak.

Honestly, my gut says Favre, but this is coming from someone who is considering starting Romo over Vick.

Thanks for answering mine. Sorry I couldn't help more.

Favre. Jennings is back this week, and NE's Harrison is out, so the GB receivers have less to fear going over the middle. Plus, I have a theory that Favre is trying hard to pass Marino in TDs this season. Plus, I'm expecting Romo to have a "back to earth" game any day now.

Thanks for answering mine...

Wow, tough call.

If you are not penalized heavily for INTS, go with Favre. I know Favre hasn't thrown a lot of pick this year, however, against NE he may have a couple.

Otherwise, Romo is a good start.

I have each in two leagues and I'm starting Farve over Delhome

Romo over Vick

I like Farve better.

I'm thinking about playing Romo over Bulger. As someone said NE has only allowed 7 TD passes all year, and weather could play a factor in that game I honestly think Romo is a safer play. Can't believe I just said that.

Good Luck

Peace...

Another vote for Romo -- game situation favors him cause Indy will bounce back and score some points.. you also have to like Dallas' weapons more -- Jennings has done nothing since early in the season.

Favre's not a bad start.. i like Romo more.
