bauman88 0 Posted November 24, 2006 I am 6-5 right now in a ten man league, standard scoring. The top 4 make the playoffs. I am in 4th and playing the guy in 5th that is also 6-5. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, K, Def. Trade deadline is Friday, 12/1/06. Are there any improvements I can make to this team: QB Romo Favre Kitna RB Gore A. Green E. James A. Thomas WR S. Smith T. Holt Roy Williams L Evans TE Stevens Colston or WR K Wilkins Def NE Thanks!!!
AIR it OUT 1 Posted November 24, 2006 pretty solid team. I think I would leave it alone. The only spot that is suspect is your #2 rb, but Green does have some good matchups, and we all know edge is going to get the ball,so playing the matchup should work for ya. please see mine
bunnerjk 0 Posted November 24, 2006 Maybe try packaging on of your WR's with either A.Green or E.James to get a solid #2 RB.
nosferatu9368 0 Posted November 24, 2006 Hope you played Romo yesterday. The only thing I can really see is you need a better RB to go along with Gore. Try and package a deal of Ahman Green and T.Holt. I bet you could get a pretty good back. maybe a FWP or Rudi. Holt has not been too good lately and with the Rams losing Pace that team is gonna start falling quickly. Other than that I think you look pretty solid. Good Luck Peace... dorsett77 0 Posted November 24, 2006 that is a petty tough line up. leave it as is. how are you 6-5?
bauman88 0 Posted November 24, 2006 I had Alexander for a long stretch and just traded him away. I have had a bunch of different players and they just had a bad week or the guys I played had LT and Johnson last week.
Rienmann 0 Posted November 24, 2006 You have a good line up, I think Green will do well the next few weeks, leave as is.
J.E.T.S.JetsJetsJets 0 Posted November 24, 2006 You could put out feelers for a upgrade #2RB but don't go chasing. the team is better than the record. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=255784
Bgards79 0 Posted November 24, 2006 Strong lineup, but if the right deal came along I would trade one of your WR's for a better RB. Thanks for the reply on mine.
Return of the King 0 Posted November 24, 2006 I would not change a thing.
dalie 2 Posted November 24, 2006 Your weakest position, as stated, is RB2! If you can package Green or Edge and a WR for an upgrade at RB would be good, but you are pretty solid as is so make sure it is a good trade/RB for you. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=255821
carolina blue 0 Posted November 25, 2006 I think you're a lock for the playoffs. You number 1 and 2 guys are hot right now. Good Luck!
Djurynk 0 Posted November 25, 2006 First, thanks for mine, it will be hard to bench the 7th leading rushers in the NFL but A. Green is playing primetime. Your line-up is to me a playoff contention team in every position. Like some of the others suggest suring up a 2nd SOLID RB is always nice, but you have made yourself have vialbe options at #2 RB. ROMO was a HUGE FIND, GORE I am sure was a steal whenever you selected him and you have hot WR that look like they have nice rapport with the QB's. Sometimes trying to change things up really blows-up on you. I would leave you team as is.
Fresh Chicken 0 Posted November 25, 2006 There's really not much you can do here other than a RB upgrade that others have also mentioned. I'll take you team and you can have mine. how about that? Thanks!
Manifest Destiny 0 Posted November 25, 2006 Green is a decent #2 and you don't want to end up getting burned by some of the WR/TE talent that you have on the bench. Unless you think that you can get LT or LJ, I wouldn't consider a trade, if I were you. Thanks for answering mine.
philssteelers200 0 Posted November 25, 2006 Thanks for your help... I would stay as is, good team, Green should start running better in the next few weeks.
magnum 0 Posted November 26, 2006 Great team, running backs may be the only issue here and that is more of a depth issue. I would make a move for a running back, maybe go after Barber III or someone like that. You should do well with what you have, but another solid back would help. mrgymrat 0 Posted November 26, 2006 Yeah with that lineup, I'd pretty much stay put. Maybe see if you could trade Favre for an Addai, MBIII, Deangelo Williams so you have a viable #3 RB who might get hot. Or package Favre or Kitna w/ Evans to get a better RB and then take a chance on Cutler w/ your open roster spot.
cincyredsfan34 0 Posted November 26, 2006 I'm pretty much with everyone else youve got a good team and it would be a good thing to just stand pat. However, since a guy like Evans is hot right now and with your other wrs he wont see the field dangle him and an A Green or an Edge and see if some owner with a guy like a Rudi or a Chester Taylor would bite. If the Mcnabb owner didnt protect himself with a backup then dangle Favre and Green or Edge and try to get one of his better rbs if he has one. Either way your in pretty good shape! Madler 6 Posted November 26, 2006 You need another back. Trade Holt or Williams for a good back Thanks for helping me
