enricopulazzo 0 Posted December 2, 2006 I am thinking of benching Tiki vs DAL for Addai vs TEN this week. DAL has a solid run defense and they seem to be clicking rather well right now. I know Addai splits a lot of reps with Rhodes, but with Tiki being taken out every time they get to the goaline, what's the difference. Adda may have less yardage than Tiki but I bet Addai has more TDs than Tiki in the end. But the age old "never bench your studs" rule keeps ringing in my ear. What do you guys think? Leave a link to yours, please.
BigSoup 0 Posted December 2, 2006 I don't think anyone would call you nuts for thinking about this move. I think I might still stick with Tiki. He seems to get up for big games and has been the only RB to post 100 yards on Dallas this year. That said, Addai is pretty attractive. If I was forced to choose between the two right now, I would go Tiki. Mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=257418
Texansfan 0 Posted December 2, 2006 I would do it. That Addai, he's so hot right now... and he's got a great matchup this week. Plus Tiki never scores TDs anyway.... Thanks for looking at mine
Pack-Attack 1 Posted December 2, 2006 that is a hard one to decide but this is what i think: BARBER---------this team has it all...players quitting, retiring, fighting with one another...nothing but a bus wreck ADDAI----------probably will not repeat last week's performance but will still put up some decent fantasy pts. so in this case never bench your stud theory is thrown out and i say start ADDAI good-luck
piece of work 0 Posted December 2, 2006 nevah bench your studs.....i go tiki......
gmeyers01 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Wow, that's a tough call. Who is your other RB that you are starting? Tiki does play well vs Dallas, but the Giants look a mess. Will they take a stand or fold, that is the big question for this Sunday. Addai is a lock for 100 total yds, and a good chance at a td. Barber could get you 150 and a TD(although not likely), or he could get about 80 yds and no td. I'd start Addai.
nosferatu9368 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Never Bench your Studs don't apply here, If you look at the stats for this season, because IMO Fantasy Football is about what have you done for me lately. Barber 1,421 total yards 1 TD Addai 1,023 total yards 8 TD's It's not as if you're benching LT for Addai, Barber just hasn't gotten it done this year. Play Addai Good Luck Peace... enricopulazzo 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Steven Jax is my other RB thanks for the reply!
Illini4evr 0 Posted December 2, 2006 The reality is that Addai is still a RBBC back. Last week's performance was more due to the fact that he was the more effective runner of the two and once he hit 3 TD's they ensured that he would hit that 4th. Don't expect the same type of performance and if you need the win you probably should go with Tiki who will probably be due this week, but if not then def. go with Addai who should put up at least 50-60 yards and a TD. bunnerjk 0 Posted December 2, 2006 I think Tiki is a safer play but with him only having 1 TD all season is frustrating. I would play Addai, he's becoming a "stud" himself!!!!!
smedia 0 Posted December 2, 2006 I think Tiki will come up with a big game...Addai had a big one last week (4 tds)and based on the first 10 games (3 tds) cant see him doing it again thanks for mine
Chazzman 0 Posted December 2, 2006 I like Addai here... I am using him myself. Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=257436
carolina blue 0 Posted December 2, 2006 I'm the wrong guy to ask, I'm not high on Tiki right now. Ever since the retirement news it's been downhill for the Giants and Tiki. Go with the rookie, he's hot!
JayMF 0 Posted December 2, 2006 Like you said, Tiki isn't getting the end zone touches. Plus, the Dallas D is decent against the run. Plus, the Giant's seem to be finding ways to lose. I doubt Addai will go off like last week, but I think he'll do pretty well. And Tennessee's rushing D is at least as bad as Indy's, so he should be productive. I think you get more upside with Addai with little risk.
dalie 2 Posted December 2, 2006 I guess I would go with Addai, he is going strong right now and if he only does half of last week you are still good. Thanks for mine
Beyond Chaos 75 Posted December 3, 2006 Tough call.......You just may have to go with your gut or whoever you'll be kickin yourself for, for not starting him ....don't know if that helps...
granta_05 3 Posted December 3, 2006 I'm facing the same dilemma myself, and I'm playing Addai with Willie Parker as my other RB. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=257507
slestack11 0 Posted December 3, 2006 To me, Addai is a no brainer over Tiki. In case you haven't noticed, Brandon Jacobs is the red zone guy for the Giants now. At least Addai has a chance to score a TD, Tiki Barber will need to run it from 50 yards out to even get a sniff of the end zone.
