The Train 0 Posted September 7, 2007 In my one Yahoo league, I was starting T. Glenn as #3 WR. During the draft, I got a bunch of RB depth but not much at WR. However, the good thing is that the waiver is my league has a lot of talent available (including the various sleepers that are mentioned a lot on this board). So really... who do you think I should consider putting in this week? I'm already down quite a bit because of Bush, so I'm going to need something solid. However, it's only the first game so I'm not afraid to take a chance on someone like James Jones. Although the reports seem pretty contradicting about whether or not Jones is going to play. You can leave your links and I will answer to the best of my ability. Thanks for any help.
Beyond Chaos 75 Posted September 8, 2007 Who all is available that you would consider?
remote controller 143 Posted September 8, 2007 Jennings is the one that was downgraded due to injury, and Driver is returning from one. Jones has great potential this week. Don't be afraid then to also look at Jacoby Jones, especially if you can get credit for their ST exploits. I am a big fan of Demetrius Williams this year, and feel he will end the season with more TD's then Mark Clayton.
The Train 0 Posted September 8, 2007 I definitely like the looks of Demetrius Williams and he is available. I went ahead and picked him up along with James. I'll be watching the likes of Jacoby et al. Anyway, now the question... who to put in this week. I'm definitely leaning toward Demetrius. He's more of a definite point producer. Besides, if James has a break-out game it is only going to solidify his position for the coming weeks. Like I said, this week isn't too important to me. The Bush points pretty much guarantee my loss, unless Shaun Alexander brings up LT-like numbers. But yeah... thanks for the help so far. And for the person who asked. My league has a couple of interesting potential receivers available. Jacoby Jones and Dwayne Bowe are popular on this board. Other availables include: Toomer, Marty Booker (I had some good success with him last year), Reggie Williams, Devin Hester (why is no one drafting him? is there something I don't know?), Eric Parker, Antwaan Randel El. Lake209 43 Posted September 8, 2007 First of all, w/Greg Jennings out and GBay passing like crazy - go ahead and feel good about starting James Jones this week. He's easily a WR3 this week and with Driver covered up (again, Jennings out) he should be good. Also, I'd start JJ over D. Williams this week. D. Williams may come on strong mid season...but he's in a little bit of a crowd right now. JJ gets the START. Now, about who else to pick up, I don't know why you wouldn't go for Toomer....he is healthy and has a history of consistency. I'd also take a look at E. Wilford in Jacksonville, if he's still out there. Mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...w_post&f=
Beyond Chaos 75 Posted September 8, 2007 I'd look at James Jones (not listed) and consider starting him if he is available and Jennings doesn't play. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=285209
