Trade LJ?

Recommended Posts

My RBs:

LJ, Portis/Betts, B.JACOBS, A.Peterson (MIN)

So I just lost Jacobs and will not be able to get Ward b/c I'll have a low waiver priority.

I was thinking of offering LJ for Reggie Bush & Jerious Norwood. I think both of those guys are great "buy low" canidates right now. Norwood should be starting soon if not next week, and Bush will turn it around.

That gives me solid depth at RB and I don't think I'll lose much with Bush in a PPR league. And the Chiefs just SUCK, so I think LJ is in for a bad year.

Thoughts?

I personally have avoided LJ like the plague this season, but I would at least shop him for a better deal before doing that.

Why trade him for 90 cents on the dollar if somebody may be willing to pay full price (or more)?

OK, what about this trade..

LJ & Devery Henderson or Wes Welker FOR Bush, Norwood, & Anquan Boldin?

I really don't know what LJ's value is right now. And Bush's won't be any lower than it is now, prime chance to get him!

The Chiefs line sucked last year and LJ still worked wonders.

You know LJ isn't going to be 100% for another couple games, also. I am personally not a fan of Norwood, though if you think he'll work out Bush and Norwood would give you depth, however you'll be losing a workhorse in LJ that neither Bush nor Norwood can compete with. If it were me, I would try and get a better back than Norwood, but that's just my opinion.

That's better, but the point is sorta that LJ's value is very difficult to determine right now, see if you can find somebody who overrates him. I say you err on the side of caution and treat his value as if he's the top 6 pick that you probably spent on him, and then see what people counter with.

And I don't really see why you would necessarily expect a spike in Bush's value in the immediate future. I owned him last season, and he was useless for the first half of the season. It is entirely feasible that this happens again.

I'm bumping this once. Leave a link and I'll help you.

Again the trade offer is:

I give up LJ, Devery Henderson, & throw in Patrick Crayton

I get Reggie Bush, Anquan Boldin, & Jerious Norwood

My team after the trade would be:

Bush, Portis, Peterson (MIN), Norwood, Betts, Jacobs (injured)

SS, TJ Housh, Boldin, Welker

My team would then be so deep I would have NO worries!

I just REALLY don't like LJ this year. And his value will only get WORSE after the next 4 games against Chicago, Minnesota, Jacksonville, & Cincy. And hell by then I might be 1-4 anyway and it won't matter at all!

Thoughts???

I would first try to get Bush and another RB that is higher than Norwood for LJ. The Falcons is a mess and no matter how talented Norwood is, it'll be tough for him to be a star this year.

Thanks for helping with mine.

Getting Boldin is the only truly great thing about that trade. LJ for Bush may not be an upgrade at all. Don't get me wrong, Bush is uber-talented and COULD break out, but at the end of the day even though LJ's team sucks, he is still THE man in KC. Bush & Co. really spooked me on Week 1. Think about the fact that as bad as LJ did against the Texans he was still worth nearly double Bush.

Thanks for mine.

here's the rub, everyone's value is in question right now. you drafted LJ for a reason, and if you have low waiver priority, I'm guessing you won last week in spite of him. There will be a week that he gets in for 2-3 scores, and that's when you want to deal him, even if it happens week 5 vs Cincy (their def isn't as good as it showed last night). My advice is to dance with the one that you drafted because trading a 1st rounder like LJ this early reeks of despiration, and his value won't get much lower than it is now, even with a couple more average performances. Someone will always be willing to trade *something* for LJ because of the RB he is (or could be). Don't ruin your season by trading one unknown quantity for another this early in the season.

Here's my conundrum:
