sb305198 0 Posted September 12, 2007 So I decided that I would ignore bye weeks like a goober this year. The crux is that both my #1 RB's have the same bye week (8) and both my #1 WR's have the same bye week also (6). Would I be better off just chancing it with back ups and waiver wire adds, or should I go looking for some trades? Thanks for your help, below is my line up. QB-M.Hasselback (Bye Week 8) RB-W.McGahee (Bye Week 8) RB-S.Alexander (Bye Week 8) WR-R.Wayne (Bye Week 6) WR-J.Walker (Bye Week 6) TE-K.Winslow (Bye Week 7) DEF-Baltimore (Bye Week 8) K- J.Reed (Bye Week 6) Backups include: C. Williams (Hurt/Bye Week 10), DeShawn Foster (Bye Week 7), LenDale White (Losing Starter Job/Bye Week 4), DJ Hackett (Hurt/Bye Week 8), Joey Galloway (Bye Week 10). Texansfan 0 Posted September 12, 2007 You're worrying 2 months in advance! LOL I think you're fine. Everyone has to deal with bye weeks. Don't make a dumb trade just to get a plug in player. Thanks for looking at mine!
dalie 2 Posted September 12, 2007 If it is a good trade for you, then I would do a trade....but DON'T give up any good talent for worse talent just to save weeks 6 and 8, it is only 2 games then your set for the playoffs...........if you are at the bottom of the league and fighting for a P.O. spot at the time then consider it but not till then. Mine? http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=286439
Cubs07 0 Posted September 12, 2007 I've never looked at bye weeks while drafting.....just ride it out and hope you're playing a scurb team......if not tell yourself you prob would have lost anyways.
bear1856 0 Posted September 12, 2007 You're fine for now. Even if you sacrifice week 8, your starters should more than make up for it in the other 12 regulas season weeks. Thanks for voting on mine.
Quickolas1 80 Posted September 12, 2007 hmm not sure how we can answer this? i dont mind the bye weeks idea. WR isnt looking good with Hackett...any decent WW WRs out there?
ffrookie312 0 Posted September 12, 2007 yeah only make a trade if the trade is a good trade for you dont bring bye weeks into consideration
jbwillisjr 0 Posted September 12, 2007 Be patient....dont worry about the bye weeks just yet. 2 weeks before your first bye dilema, start scouring the WW and paying attention to solid positional matchup plays that a lot of other owners may discount just b/c they arent household names
-bp- 0 Posted September 12, 2007 Stay put, and don't make any trades that could possibly compromise your team. If a fair trade presents itself, there's nothing that should stop you from taking it, but I don't think you need to panic yet. If you have forfeit week 8 it won't be the end of your season, take the loss and move on. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=286470
Patrick977 0 Posted September 12, 2007 You could put some feelers out there to see if there are any OUTSTANDING trades available, but otherwise sit tight. Some people actually prefer to have so many off on one week as it ensures that their team is intact the entire rest of the season. So instead of staggering it and possibly losing two games, you probably just lose the one and are solid the rest of the time. Thanks for mine!
