jpterp97 0 Posted October 10, 2007 as part of a trade i was offerd to choose calvin johnson (DET WR) or james jones (GB WR). not a keeper league. who should I choose?
Plexx 0 Posted October 10, 2007 I would probably argue that Calvin will have some good games, but GB is certainly going to be a serious competitor game in and game out with a better QB. I would probably lean toward Jones since he will most likely at least be part of that offense the remainder of the year, although Calvin will probably have more tds, but who can guess which week its going to happen http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=294723
Neckturd 0 Posted October 10, 2007 It's hard to say it, but probably Johnson. He has good potential and James shares a lot of balls with other WRs. Thanks for mine
BLT 0 Posted October 10, 2007 Just looking at raw talent, I'd take Johnson. This is Fantasy and Jones is getting the looks from Favre, the problem is he seems to have the fumbles. Will that stop Favre from throwing to him, not if he's on the field. So my Lions Fan heart says Johnson but my FF mind says Jones. Thanx for mine. rottytiny 7 Posted October 10, 2007 I'd have to go Jones right now, but if he has the fumbling problem again he'll be in the doghouse.
ric0 23 Posted October 10, 2007 how quickly would use the receiver? if you need him this week go for jones, if not calvin. help me out.
dbuofi7 0 Posted October 10, 2007 how quickly would use the receiver?if you need him this week go for jones, if not calvin. I agree. Jones is the immediate solution and Johnson is good for the rest of the season. I think that Jones' fumbles will cost him some time/looks though. Lamb of God 15 Posted October 10, 2007 I think you go with Johnson. Before he got hurt he was the clear cut #2 in a team that is a pass first offense, the guy was a lock for 70-80yds and a td and I would expect the same when he comes back which should be next week. mine please http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=294786
hooflungpoo 0 Posted October 10, 2007 johnson by far. in that system, he should thrive. kitna is ok, but with orlovsky and stanton as backups, who werent shabby in college, johnson should have some very good years in the future. you also have to look at how long favre will hang around each year. now he is 38 playing like he is 28, and looks good, but after he is gone, rodgers may step in and will limit the production of his wrs.
