Favre/Eli and choose 2: KJ/SJax/Calvin/MJD

Recommended Posts

I have been struggling with my QB decision all season -- Favre or Eli in a standard QB scoring format (1pt/25yds + bonus at 300, 4pts/TD, -1pt/INT). Before week 6, I decided I would go with Favre, barring injury for the rest of the season (except his bye last week). However, his dismal week 6 performance has me second guessing myself. The Dolphins matchup seems like a great one for Eli, although I don't know how to factor in the London thing. That having been said, Favre could shine in Denver if Champ Bailey is gimpy. So decision number 1, who to play this week (thoughts on prospects going forward are welcome also):

  • Brett Favre
  • Eli Manning

Choice number two is for my flex spots in a PPR league. I need to choose two between:

  • Kevin Jones
  • Steven Jackson
  • Calvin Johnson
  • Maurice Jones-Drew

Let me know you thoughts and leave links, if I haven't already chipped in on yours...

id go with eli over favre. miamis secondary is horrible. home teams play well on MNF as well. probably play matchups going forward but i like eli more than brett.

in a PPR league id go with KJ who should catch 6-7 balls tomorrow. Id be tempted to go with SJax who could be huge and catch a lot. coach says he might limit his carries. KJ is a safer bet. SJax could be a home run though. wouldnt risk MJD with his injury and tough tampa d

Eli over Favre is not a tough choice, to me.

The flex option is. I normallly like to go with the RB there, and in this case I think KJ is a slightly better option than SJax...if only cause SJ has not played in weeks and still has a terrible O-line. CHI will play pass and has been very vulnerable to the run game, especially little dump-offs to the RBs.

i'm thinking the giants will win handily against a fairly bad dolphin d. favre will have a tougher time against denver. if sjax really is healthy, and the team is saying he in, he's the best of the 4. my other pick is kj. again, a really good player that is finally supposed to be healthy. maurice j-d is banged up & detroit seems to have reverted to a running game which does not help kitna or calvin. i wouldn't think that would continue but i'd go with kj & bench cj this week. best of luck.

Thanks for your input.

I would go with Eli over Favre this week. I saw Brady mutilate the Miami secondary last week. Although, Brady has killed all secondaries this year. When it's all said and done, Miami has given up passing TD's this year to Denvers 11. Don't forget, Denver plays well at home.

The flex choice seems tricky. I think you have to go with SJax as he was probably your #1 pick and you are dying to get an ROI from him.

Eli over Favre due to the fact the Denver secondary is pretty darn tough!

Then I go with SJax and K. Jones. They are better options than what your others can offer. If MJD was not dinged up, he would get the nod over KJ, but unfortunately we do not know how severe that injury is.

Please check out my problem!!
