jdibella 0 Posted August 26, 2008 12 team, standard scoring (4points/TD for QB) Drafted 11th. I took some risks that I hope are going to pay off for me. Starters 1QB, 2RB, 3WR/TE, 1K, 1DST How'd I do? QB Kurt Warner Chad Pennington (yea, I know.. I'm hurting here..) RB Marshawn Lynch Kevin Smith Fred Taylor Ray Rice Andre Hall WR Plaxico Burress Chad Johnson Lee Evans Roddy White Tony Gonzalez Bernard Berrian K Phil Dawson DST Ravens I'm not feeling to good on this draft. Like I said, I took some changes (Kevin Smith, very high) but I'm pretty big on him and not big on the RBs that were available at that time (Ryan Grant, McGahee, Jamal Lewis). Leave a link. Cuda1337 1 Posted August 26, 2008 Wow man, thats a rough draft. QB isn't anything I like AT ALL. I'd look to upgrade there if you can. Running back is solid. Maybe see if you could unload a decent RB for a QB/WR Combo or something like that. WR looks fine, gotta hope that C. Johnson plays (I'm hoping for the same thing) Thanks for commenting on my trade question. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=320228

I was getting hammered during the draft about taking Kevin Smith so early but I'm big on him. I waited to long to get a QB and I regret it. There were so many bad QBs on the board that I didn't feel confident with any. I actually feel better about Warner than I do about Cutler/Rivers. Thanks for responding. haveyouheard 0 Posted August 26, 2008 i'm ok with taking kevin smith a bit higher than he's usually slotted -- i'm fairly high on him too. i also actually think that warner is going to put up good numbers as long as he's healthy -- question is how long will that be? if chad's shoulder holds up, you're set at wr -- maybe you can trade a wr for a qb? thanks for any help on my keeper problem: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=320131
Drew Brees' Mole 0 Posted August 26, 2008 whoa bro, not the typical team, I dont know who u drafted in the 2nd round, Kevin Smith?? Def cud have waited on him, but U always have a shot at winning esp if its head to head.

Yea but if warner stays healthy and the starter, he will put up 30 tds and i would have def taken Jamal over smith but it shouldnt make or break your season. and chad goin down killed you! but you are pretty deep there. goodluck. thanks for the help on mine. pixel_monkey 0 Posted August 26, 2008 I agree with some of the other comments here: your QB position is your weakest link. Both situations scare me. I am not sure what's left out there, so perhaps some sort of trade is in order. Consider Matt Shaub. As long as he stays healthy, I think he stands to have a good year. (Heck, maybe grab his backup, too. Both QBs showed talent last year in Houston.) Shaub has a good thing going with stud Andre Johnson. You look solid on RB and really good at WR. Overall, I think your team is competitive. Add in a decent QB and you will have a good team.
mobb_deep 920 Posted August 26, 2008 I'd be tempted to say you have one of the worst teams in the league. Warner isn't even the definitive starter at this point. Not to mention, his tendency to get injured. Pennington is servicble, barely. Your RB's and WR's do not reflect you waiting so long on a QB. CJ is hurt, Plax is fragile, Lee Evans will have 2 or 3 good weeks and 13 goose eggs. Ewww ewww ewww.
washers 0 Posted August 27, 2008 trade ocho cinco while you still can get decent value for him, pick up some RB depth or a QB and a decent WR in return
farmerdave 0 Posted August 27, 2008 yeah man, i have to agree with everyone else. Not too thrilled about this draft. I would even say you could probably find a qb in FA who will outperform those guys. Not really sure where you would have value to trade either. Sorry dude.
