Yikes... You could use some help...

Your Wide Recievers are mediocre... Running Backs are terrible... Kevin Smith as your number 2?

I'd be making a lot of trades... I'm just not sure who I'd be looking to get rid of...

5/10

No offense Dangerpants, but I've read a couple of your posts and I'm starting to think you have no clue what you're talking about. Your WR corps is straight STUDS. Welker, TO, and Marshall will be an excellent lineup. Plus having Winslow is like having another #1 or #2 wideout. Your RB's are suspect and if there is anywhere that needs attention, this is the place. Gore could be decent, but in a new offense this isn't guaranteed. The Lions are a terrible running team and I don't think Kevin Smith singlehandedly changes this. If you get really lucky Ricky Williams could have a pretty good year, depending upon how well Ronnie Brown does with his recovery. QB's are decent as Shaub could have a good year, but I'm still scared of Vince. I think you'll be ok. 7.75/10

Honestly, I just have unique opinions... I don't give into all the hype that the media and fantasy buffs put out on certain players, and I've found in the past that my unique opinions have been good ones...

TO is the only great wideout that he has. Marshall is suspended for the first game of the season, and after that I don't think he's going to be quite as good as he was last year. Welker just isn't as good as people are making him out to be. Yes, he has Tom Brady throwing to him, but Welker is best as a slot receiver. He won't be as good in the number 2 spot with cornerbacks constantly covering him.

Also, Derrick Mason? Justin Gage?

DeSean Jackson definately has potential. I think he might just end up being the next Welker. This was probably a good pick late in the draft, and if he turns out to be a bust you might need to release him.

I agree with everything the above poster said (with the exception of me not knowing what I'm talking about and WR's being studs, of course) Now that I've explained myself I hope you can take me a little more seriously...

No disrespect. Everyone is entitled to their opinions (whether or not they may be popular). I was under the impression that he would be starting 3 receivers. TO is a big time receiver, as we both agree. But you can't knock Welker and Marshall as they both had 100+ receptions last year. Also, I think Welker will still be in the slot with Gaffney at the #2. Marshall will continue to be a beast. Cutler is set to have a breakout year and Marshall is his favorite target. I agree with Mason and Gage not being spectacular picks, and on a bye week Jackson is probably the best option. However, the starters are still legit.

Ricky, DeSean & Colts DST were great value picks at #110, #182, & #158. I like your WRs w/ two flat out studs and Welker/DeSean as your 3rd WR choice.

Winslow is solid and I played Schaub last year when my starter went down and he was 200+yds & 2 TDs pretty much every week. Eagles DST will be active w/ DeSean returning kicks.

Lastly, if AP goes down, you are set. Right now Lendale will be a solid yet unspectacular #2 RB as will Smith & Ricky. I would lose Gage, Mason & Young as there must be someone better on the WW (although I have never done a league w/ 20 roster spots so the barrel may be scrapped clean).

You should do fine.

Your Wide Recievers are mediocre.

 BTW... mediocre WRs would be having Ted Ginn Jr, Brian Berrian & Nate Burleson as your starting WRs. TO & Marshall give you a pretty good start as a WR corps. And to say that Welker isn't as good as people make him out to be doesn't make sense. The guy had 112 catches for over 1100 yds & 8TDs! I'll take that from all my WRs, thank you.

thanks for the replies.

we start:

1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF.

we actually used to have 25 rounds, which makes every round of the draft key...you have to do your homework.

Honestly, I needed to pick up another WR for bye weeks and marshall missing week one and mason and gage were the best available according to cheatsheets and their numbers ones for their teams.

I know my RB's are weak and very questionable, but could have some nice starters in White and Ricky...taylor is also trade bait for the AP owner.

one owner in our league drafted Brady, P. Manning and E. Manning - interesting strategy. He's trying to use start offering some trades.

I already got a ridiculous one: P. Manning for TO and Gore - rejected very quickly.

I would be most worried about your QB's... I dont like Vince Young at all and I just could not trust Matt Schaub as my starter, I just dont believe in Frank Gore either, I'd try to work a trade and get another RB to work into the mix someone like Thomas Jones you need another starter you can rely on because IMO if Gore does not live up to what most think he will do you are in serious trouble at RB. But as for QB you need someone else, I mean theres a chance neither of your QB's throw 20 TD's. I would try to get someone who could like Kitna, Delhomme, Warner or Campbell. One of those guys could be had without having to give up to much... Maybe try and see what you could get for Taylor from the Adrian Peterson owner.

Good Luck

Peace...

While Gage IS the number one in Tennessee Alge Crumpler will be the number one target.

I think Alge's gonna have a great comeback this year with Vince Young (who in cases you haven't noticed, is kind of like a slow Mike Vick) throwing it to him.
