We Tigers 71 Posted September 20, 2008 2WR, 2RB, 1W/R in my league, with .5 PPR. The candidates at WR: Edwards, DeSean Jackson, Welker. The candidates at RB: LT, Graham, T. Jones, Sammy Morris. Welker's getting one of the WR starts, given his high number of targets last week, Cassel going for him in the red zone, and the way he destroyed Miami last year. I'll probably give DeSean Jackson the other WR start, since the Cleveland offense is looking dire and Edwards is questionable anyway. Which brings me to the RBs. With L. Jordan doubtful and Maroney questionable, this feels like the week to play Sammy Morris. I'm also very high on Jones vs. San Diego. I like Graham too, but would obviously prefer LT if he can be effective. I figure there are a couple of ways I can go about this. 1. Jones, LT, Graham/Morris. Chance that LT plays well and flip a coin between Graham and Morris. Risky since I could end up with almost nothing from LT if he can't go on Monday, and no substitute. 2. Graham, Morris, Jones/LT. Lowest risk--if LT looks like he can play, I can start him rather than Jones. Problem is, I actually think Jones is the best matchup this week. Which way would you go? Hedge your bets that LT can play, or play it safe and be sure to get something out of every RB/flex slot at the expense of either the best matchup or most talented player? stonewall 647 Posted September 20, 2008 As difficult as I am sure that it is, I personally would sit LT for one more week and see.....given your other 3 RB's. LT just hasnt shown me that "fire in the belly" this season and when he wants to sit, he sits. He will not play hurt. Jones and Graham are going to give you solid #'s, and Morris finally has his chance to shine against his old team no less, and I believe he gets it done. Good luck. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=325030
Tacks 0 Posted September 20, 2008 Unless you hear some positive news about LT from now till Sunday kickoff, play it safe and go with Graham, Morris, and Jones. Thanks for mine
Bigunreal1 0 Posted September 20, 2008 I'm in the same boat at you with Edwards- do I start him or go with Bowe? I would tend to play it safe here, and bench LT, since San Diego's passing game is clicking so well and Sproles looked so impressive. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=324794
We Tigers 71 Posted September 20, 2008 Hmm. Edwards and Bowe...that's a little tougher. The QB situation in KC is bad, but Bowe and Tony G. are probably the only guys Thigpen will throw to. I like Bowe, but I'm really down on Edwards. My gut says go Bowe, but definitely check the gameday calls to see if Edwards is upgraded to Probable on Sunday. We Tigers 71 Posted September 20, 2008 I had another thought here. Would it be preferable to go with this lineup instead? RB: Graham RB: T. Jones WR: Welker WR: DeSean Jackson W/R: Edwards I know I made the argument for sitting Braylon this week, but it's really tough to leave that guy on the bench. kbtegp 0 Posted September 20, 2008 Tough call. I'm reading where Sproules gets more carries than LT this week and LT is limited to about 10 carries. I think Morris is a must play. Graham will get more carries than LT but is going against the Bears. It's a coin toss so I go with the healthy player. Bench LT this week.
jsw0002 0 Posted September 21, 2008 I say don't over think it. Sit LT and see what happens next week. You have good matchups otherwise so take them and get yourself a win.
