pit fan 0 Posted September 24, 2008 I need a QB bad! The guy that has Romo is very weak at RB, and just lost Parker for the week, and possibly for 3 weeks with their bye week in 2 weeks. I have offered him Trent Edwards, Willis McGahee, and Dallas Clark for Romo, Vincent Jackson, and D.Williams. Please let me know if this sounds fair/offer more/offer less??? Our teams our: (He is a FF rookie) Mine: QB: Trent Edwards RBs: Westbrook, McGahee, McFadden, J Stewart, Sproles WRs: Calvin, Marshall, Colston, Patten, A. Bryant TE: Scheffler and Clark K: Prater D: GB and NYG His: QBs: Romo and VY RBs: Parker, Bush, D Williams WRs: Randy Moss, V Jackson, Stokely, Lee Evans, Walker, Harrison TEs: heap K: Gould D: Balt and SD
Criper 24 Posted September 24, 2008 With VY as his back up, he's not going to trade Romo for Edwards. It'd take a lot more than what you are offering IMO. I traded for Romo this morning and it cost me Favre and Portis for what it's worth. shicks3781 0 Posted September 24, 2008 I think it is a fair trade, that could end up helping out both teams. My question: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=325660 I need a QB bad! pit fan 0 Posted September 24, 2008 any other thoughts?
Candygram4Mongo 8 Posted September 24, 2008 At first, I didn't think there was any chance he'd go for it. But looking at his roster a second time made me think that he might go for it. The problem is he'd be giving up his only top 5 player in Romo. If you could swing it, you'd be stacked. see mine plz http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=325623
ben4uf 0 Posted September 24, 2008 i'd give it a shot. i wouldnt say its collusion or anything but you definitely get the better end of this deal if he accepts. however as stated, he'd give up his best player by far and be stuck starting edwards which is very risky given the rest of his team. since hes a FF rookie, what is are his favorite teams/players? rookies tend to think with their "heart" more than their head and also value big names from past years more than realizing true talent. although everyone knows romo is a top QB and on a hi-po offense. give it a shot, good luck. pit fan 0 Posted September 24, 2008 I just started with this offer. How high do you think I should offer if he counters or rejects it?? Any trade ideas. If I could get Romo I would be loaded.
dalie 2 Posted September 24, 2008 It is an enticing offer for him, he might find it hard to part with Romo and deny it........but it seems fair to me overall. Thanks for mine
ElReydeFantasyFootball 0 Posted September 24, 2008 If he's a FF rookie like you say, then may be he may go for it (I know I wouldn't). If he doesn't go for your initial offer. Why don't you try offering Edwards, McGahee, Calvin Johnson for Romo, Williams and V. Jackson.

But I figured I would start low and see what he would bite on. I like your thinking, thanks.
Tommy Boy 0 Posted September 24, 2008 Hey, thanks for answering my post. IMO, I'm not sure if he'd take your trade offer. I wouldn't but that's just me. Of course, it doesn't hurt to try but if he rejects it, I would try beefing up the offer (assuming you realy want to get Romo). I would think to get a premier player such as Romo, you'd have to offer one of your top players and I'm not quite sold on McGahee (RBBC and zero goal line touches), Edwards (still developing), and Clark (injury prone). Goodluck.
pit fan 0 Posted September 24, 2008 Thanks for all the help. I have beefed up the offer. I have picked up Engram and Branch just to beat everyone to the punch, add WR depth, and add trade bait. I have now offered Edwards, McGahee, Calvin, and Branch. In return I get what I was asking for before.
