Kam187 6 Posted October 31, 2009 This is my toughest decision of the year and its a good problem to have. Kevin Smith vs St. Louis or Matt Forte vs Cleveland Will answer all questions. Please leave a link!

gvran71 0 Posted October 31, 2009 Go with K. Smith who will get you some passing yards as well. Bears are not to be trusted and as bad as the Brown are, this game might be close and Cutler may be passing. Smith is the better play.
ping 0 Posted October 31, 2009 Ouch...that is a tough one. I have more faith in K. Smith at this point, but Ryan Grant just showed last week how a back can "recover his form" against the Browns. It's basically a coin flip here. The Bears are more likely to have a lead and want to run the ball. I think, even with my lean towards K. Smith, that I'd go with Forte. Thanks for mine! CajunBadger 9 Posted November 1, 2009 I'd lean towards Smith - having Forte, I'm not trusting him even in a matchup like this... Please see mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=355715
Eriadoc 4 Posted November 1, 2009 I'd go with Forte, personally. The Rams are slightly better than the Browns against the run (very slightly), and Forte is going to be playing from ahead with a more balanced attack, I think. The Rams may actually be able to get a little bit going against the Lions, whereas the Browns have no shot against the Bears. Haverchuck 0 Posted November 1, 2009 Really tough choice. Personally I would go with Forte. I know he's been terrible this year but everyone runs on the Browns. I would play Forte this week, then sell high after what will be his best start of the season. Thanks for mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=355739
Low Score 0 Posted November 1, 2009 When you look at the stats, both teams are about equally bad against opposing RBs. It's so close at first glance that I have to go to secondary and tertiary factors that I normally wouldn't. You need to look at how each team will leverage KSmith and Forte and how the games will progess. While I think KSmith will be part of a balanced attack, STL, with Steven Jackson, can run against DET - this means a slower game, more time off the clock and less overall offensive plays. Forte, on the other hand, will be the recipient of a ground and pound approach with Cleveland passing a lot to catch up (they won't be effective running against Chicago). CLE / CHI will be a slightly quicker tempo with more offensive plays in the favor of Chicago (CLE may have a tough time keeping their offense on the field and that benefits Forte in ths case). Hope that helps - go Forte this week.
Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted November 1, 2009 I have Kevin Smith and am hoping for the best in what looks like a good matchup. That being said, I'm going against Forte this week and I'm praying to the Gods that Smith can keep up with Forte. Forte's gonna have a huge day against the sieve-like Browns defence, and you'll kick yourself for not starting him.
IndyFan 2 Posted November 1, 2009 Wow, this is a tough one. Too bad you couldn't start both. Who is your other rb that you are starting. I would go with Forte because I think Chicago gets ahead and tries to shorten game by running a lot http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=355752
