I've never seen On Golden Pond nor do I own a VHS player, but being from the east coast, I find the acting to be a bit heavy, overblown and not believable even within the fantasy sense of that world. Lastly, I am tired of shows and media feeling the need to put a person of color in a role that is unlikely just to add diversity. Add characters that make sense. I haven't watched an entire show yet, so I may just need to give in to it and pay more attention. So far it's meh.
