You are saying these Republican Senators won’t vote down the party line? I don’t buy that. Mitch in particular always gives the party whatever they want.

If the Dems in the Senate don’t want to go along they have quite a bit of power to muck the process up.

This is just the rules of the Senate. You should look into them.

Not an expert on all the parliamentary rules of the Senate but without 60 votes they can delay or refuse to bring votes. Maybe super nerds can walk through this process but my understanding is this is a big hurdle.

For first two years of Trump 45 the GOP had simple majority in Senate and 230ish seats in The House. We’ll see how this goes this time around.

Ukraine doesn’t want to allow Russia to have their land, Biden (along with Congress) continue to pass aide packages. That seems like it is over (although Trump floated an idea of a loan for rights to rare earth minerals). We’ll see. Cutting off aide ends the war and gives Russia all the leverage so there you go.

This is probably true but would be a big win for Trump IMO. Gets to say he tried. Now places that went along with him I think would be a disaster. People are picturing dudes with face tattoos being dragged out in cuffs. This would not be the case.

I hadn’t seen any costs but yeah I’d think it’s very, very high. Like much of what Trump says I think it’s probably bullshit he throws it at the wall sees what sticks and just goes with that. Then he acts like a little betch when people take him seriously. Quickly moves onto the next self promoting issue.

I completely agree with the idea if you are here illegally and you get caught doing a crime you are out. I’d maybe parse what type of crime but that is a debate worth having. People who came here and are working doing their thing and don’t have car tabs up to date well I can debate that. Of course anyone doing drug related crimes, stealing, etc…you are bounced.

I think this might be more detailed and thought out than Trump’s plan. He just knew it was a great campaign issue.
