This is just bullcrap. Every one of the issues that @jerryskids listed has solid reasons why a thoughtful person would be in favor of them. You can disagree with some or all of those reasons (which would, in turn, define you as NOT a liberal) but the reasons are there nonetheless. That is, by definition, the exact opposite of a cult.

Back to the polls: Atlas Intel, the poll which was the most accurate in 2020, and which Jon loves, continues to be an outlier this time around, showing Trump ahead nationally and in 5 of 7 swing states (though oddly enough behind in North Carolina). All of its findings are within the margin of error. It’s an outlier poll because virtually every other poll has her ahead nationally and tied or ahead in the swing states. Being an outlier doesn’t make it wrong. But I have a hard time believing Kamala wins North Carolina but not Pennsylvania or Georgia. That doesn’t seem likely.

Closing the border is not the goal. Securing the border is. But there are ways to do that without the idiotic, catastrophic methods that Trump keeps proposing. Why hasn’t she done more? VPs are pretty powerless. She was put in charge of looking at the roots of the issue and offering possible solutions to Congress. She did that, but people like you don’t want to hear what she found out, which is that man made climate change and unstable governments in Latin America (often the legacy of long term interference by the USA) have created an untenable refugee situation and mass movements of people which is only going to get worse over time, and we can’t solve that by simply shutting our doors and pretending it isn’t happening.

America is proof that you’re wrong. We are the great globalist country. That’s what sets us apart from every other nation. There is no dominant culture here.

I think that may be true of some liberals. I’d like to think it’s not true of me. If I think somebody is an idiot, I will say so regardless of party. For example I think Maxine Waters is an idiot. I don’t think Kamala Harris is stupid.

Couldn’t you ask the same question about Elon Musk? Or the late Sheldon Adelson? Sounds like your real beef is with the unlimited campaign contributions that the Supreme Court decided to allow. (Citizens United). I was against that decision, but if we’re going to allow billionaires to have so much influence I’d rather they be on my side than yours.

I simply do not believe that this would be your opinion of her if she were a conservative that you agreed with on the issues. I believe your disagreement with her positions, and her political party, is the main reason you think that she’s stupid. Because she clearly isn’t.

And now a second commercial by Kamala shows Trump backing out of the next debate. Again very smart.

I watched two commercials during the Georgia vs Alabama game. The first by Kamala discussed jobs and her economic plan. The only mention of Trump was that he wants to stay out of jail. The second by Trump showed an old video of Kamala wanting transsexuals in prison and elsewhere to have access to gender affirming care including operations. The only people that care at all about transsexuals are the Maga crowd already firmly committed to Trump. Just in terms of politics and courting any remaining undecided votes, her ads are smart, his are stupid:

The main flaw in your reasoning is that Alex Soros doesn’t seek open borders. He wants what I want: much more open legal immigration, a path to citizenship for law-abiding undocumented immigrants, and end to the demonization of immigrants (which you participate in here) and in general, more globalization and free trade. I think these are all good things which will bring us greater prosperity. I know you disagree. But that’s not the same as open borders.

I can’t offer you the job because despite your poor ideas (IMO) you’ve shown yourself to have independent thoughts from time to time. @HellToupee on the other hand is truly servile, repeating memorized bullet points like Comrade Squealer from Animal Farm. He’s exactly what I’m looking for.

But that’s not what recent history suggests. When Hillary lost in 2016 there were peaceful protests around the Inauguration Day (Woman’s March.) When Trump lost in 2020 he refused to concede and the Capitol Building was stormed.

You’re arguing against a false conservative stereotype of liberalism, not against Kamala Harris.

Nope. My position has always been the same on this. If you find violent felons you arrest them, punish them, and then deport them. But what about the vast majority of undocumented immigrants who aren’t violent felons, who are here seeking work and refuge and the American dream? You guys want to round them up and deport them too. I don’t. That’s where we differ.

She did a good job at the border. Her plan is is far more thoughtful than the fool she is running against. Too bad Trump is so weak on this issue.

Do you understand that there is a difference between decriminalizing the personal use of fentanyl and attempting to prevent its flow into the country? And that these can be goals which do not contradict each other?
