Apparently you don’t understand how the Vice President works. In the “real world”

Please don’t agree with him about Biden being “installed” as President by some evil “they”. That didn’t happen, and @HellToupee has been spreading this bullsh!t for years. Now he’s trying to spread new bullsh!t.

Trump is apparently going to use this “coup” thing as a way to argue that the election was bogus after he loses. It appears there are already people here willing to believe this.

OK I just did. What do I win?

1. No I didn’t, and I still don’t. I believe Biden could have made it another 4 years and performed very well. There was an open primary; only one person chose to challenge Biden. Biden won easily. 2. RFK Jr. wasn’t “kneecapped”; the main theme of his campaign is a skepticism for vaccines and a belief in conspiracy theories that is at odds with the beliefs of most Democrats, so he never had a chance of being the Democratic nominee. 3. Because he was elected President and is still competent as President. 4. Nobody hid anything. Biden is older and slower and performed terribly at the debate. Too many Americans saw that and he would not have won the election; he finally became convinced of this fact and chose to quit the race. Thats it. There was nothing secret, no coup. 5. No dirt whatsoever. For about a month after the debate Biden still believed he could weather the storm. Then Nancy Pelosi threatened to go public with her belief that Biden couldn’t win (that’s what she meant by “we can do this the hard way.) That’s when Biden decided to quit rather than be publicly embarrassed by Pelosi’s statement. But it was still his decision. HTH

I don’t have any problem with anyone who avoided serving in the Vietnam War in any way they could, including Trump. More power to them.

I heard Frank Luntz talking about 2008 from a Republican perspective; he said that Obama was like “freight train that we could see coming but we didn’t know how to stop. Well, Kamala could be an even bigger freight train than Obama!”

The truth is most people don’t care. Donald Trump is no longer the center of gravity in this campaign. That baton has been passed to Kamala. She’s the future; Trump is just an insignificant old man standing in her way- temporarily. Very soon the voters will push him aside.

I’ve noticed that you seem to have an equal number of critics from both sides of the political spectrum. You and @weepaws are the only two dudes here who have managed this unlikely accomplishment.

Also there is a huge difference between “getting tough” and the horrific, bigoted, catastrophic “solutions” you favor.

Her position on ICE has evolved since 2020. Now she knows she needs to compromise with Republicans (the reasonable ones) to get things done.

She was tough on this issue as a prosecutor. Her attitude is tough but also smart. She knows that as a nation we need comprehensive immigration reform. Elect her into office, give her a Congress made up of centrist Democrats and rational Republicans and we can and will solve this issue.

Exactly what I wrote. She was assigned to look at the root causes and engage in diplomacy with Guatamala, Honduras, El Salvador, etc. Nothing to do with border security.

What did I get wrong?

Of course there are asylum seekers. And refugees. And people who illegally cross the border. And legal entrants to this country who choose to overstay their welcome (by far these are the largest group of undocumented immigrants who come here.) To enforce the laws we already have requires more money for the ICE and patrol. That is the domain of Congress. It was part of the spending package that Trump ordered killed.

She didn’t have any power. She was never a “border czar”. In fact she had nothing to do with the border at all. She was assigned to investigate the roots of the increased migration, which she did.

I don’t need anyone to tell me that 10% tax on all imports will devastate the economy. I can figure that out for myself. How any economic conservative could be in favor of this astounds me.
