Definitely a slippery slope. Reminds me of a tragedy from 7 or 8 years ago. One of those a holes who had something like 25+ alcohol related driving offenses in the previous 4 years, finally graduated to murder by driving drunk and taking out a family of 4. Someone posted that anyone who gets a DUI, even if it's a 1st offense, & even if it's right @ the legal limit of 0.08% & isn't involved in any kind of accident, should get 5 years in prison. My thinking is that if this guys mother/father - brother/sister - son/daughter - niece/nephew - even a grandmother/grandfather screwed up one night and got a DUI, he'd be begging for leniency. Be careful what you wish for.

Because farmers get all kinds of special tax breaks from the DFL. You have to realize that while they aren't completely gone, the small farmer is quickly disappearing. My grandfather on my dad's side was one of those. Raised 20 or 30 cattle, chickens, hogs, etc & farmed around 50 acres. Today, it's mostly large corporate farms.

DFL is the abbreviation for Democrat-Farm-Labor Those of us that have seen the DFL in action over the years, know it actually means Dumb-For-Life.

Couldn't agree more. I've been hoping the same thing for the judges here in Minnesota for years. Every time one of the criminals that have been set free in spite of having a rap sheet 3 pages long, & then graduates to murder, I literally pray that it's either a loved one of his, or the judge himself.
