The question is who is MAGA lining up next. The thread is about Donny Boy seeking, with MAGA's approval, a third term. All MAGAs when confronted with this fact say: "he's not running again liberalz!". Ok. So who are you running next? Not who are the Democrats running next. Names. JD Vance? Marco Rubio? Who. Take your time.
I don’t know if anyone brought this up, but:
To pass an amendment to the U.S. Constitution, there are two major steps — proposal and ratification — each with specific requirements:
Step 1: Proposal
An amendment can be proposed in one of two ways:
1. By Congress:
• Requires a two-thirds (⅔) vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
• This is the only method ever used so far for all 27 amendments.
2. By a National Constitutional Convention:
• Called by two-thirds (⅔) of state legislatures(currently 34 out of 50 states).
• This method has never been used in U.S. history.
Step 2: Ratification
Once proposed, the amendment must be ratified (approved) by the states. This can happen in one of two ways:
1. By State Legislatures:
• Three-fourths (¾) of state legislatures must approve (currently 38 of 50 states).
2. By State Conventions:
• Three-fourths (¾) of special state conventions must approve.
• This method has been used only once — for the 21st Amendment, which repealed Prohibition.

Yup, cutting government waste and getting our budget under control. The Democrats have been following the Cloward-Piven Srrategy since 1968. Somebody has to put the brakes on it. We are at step three. We are $37.5 trillion in debt and pay almost $1 trillion a year in interest. Do the math.
The four steps of the Cloward-Piven Strategy:
1. Overload and Break the System
2. Have Chaos Ensue
3. Take Control in the Chaos
4. Implement Socialism/Communism through Government Force-

What he said was "maga is doing everything they can to say he is not one of them". to me, that was maga saying the kid was a lefty, he was trans, he was pro palestine, lefty rhetoric made him do it, etc., as in anything but maga. not that he was maga, but throwing everything against the wall that he wasn't them. I don't think this kids story is complete quite yet.
your 2nd paragraph is incorrect, all the way around.
thanks for the response. i have seen a few people, Carolla, Geraldo, say things like Jimmy was incorrect or he owes an apology and I did want to hear someones opinion with some more direct context.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Jimmy Kimmel
and of course this is a lie, everyone knew who did it and why.
-
1 hour ago, Herbivore said:what was the lie?
He said the assassin was MAGA And the MAGA crowd was trying to gain political points by claiming he was anything but their own. He said this two days after the assassin‘s motive had been revealed, the inscriptions on the bullet casings were shown, Etc.
60 TV affiliates immediately, said they were dropping Kimmel and in the aftermath of public outrage Disney decided to suspend Kimmel indefinitely. The free market at work!
you don’t seem to understand that you are in the minority in this country and the majority of your protesters are paid.

Let’s say it’s not him. Is it ever all right for an FCC Chair to threaten a broadcaster’s license for providing content that mocks or criticizes the president?
Kimmel was canceled for the lies he told about the Kirk assassination not things he said about Trump. He has been mocking Trump for eight years yet he is mysteriously canceled for that reason after he made outrageous allegations about the Charlie Kirk assassination? You can try to change the narrative but the facts remain the same, it was the blatant lies he told about the Kirk assassination.
living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.

The Kimmel firing has nothing to do with free speech, it is about a free market.

From Google AI Overview:
Freedom, Georgia is not an exclusively Black community. While founded by Black families seeking a safe haven from racism and aiming to foster Black prosperity, the community welcomes anyone to join and become a part of the initiative. The founders have stated their desire for a thriving, diverse community where people of all backgrounds can feel welcome.
Nineteen Black families have purchased nearly 100 acres of land in the rural town of Toomsboro that will be known as Freedom, Georgia. “I’m hoping that it will be a thriving, safe haven for people of color, for Black families in particular,” Scott told CNN.

I’m sure some idiots here will somehow try to claim this isn’t racist.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out in the courts. The “leader” claims they don’t sell real estate, so maybe it’s just a cult.

I guess you don’t know about Freedom, Georgia.
QuoteThe 19 households bought nearly 100 acres near Toomsboro, Georgia, to create a self-sustaining, new Black town. They wanted to call it Freedom, Georgia, launching the Freedom Georgia Initiative.
This happened in 2020. Is this racist? I didn’t hear any of you complaining about it back then, now you know why you’re all considered hypocrites.

The last time the United States formally declared war, using specific terminology, on any nation was in 1942, when war was declared against Axis-aligned Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania, because President Franklin Roosevelt thought it was improper to engage in hostilities against a country without a formal declaration of war. Since then, every American president has used military force without a declaration of war.[3]
