Trump talk only- no Eagles talk allowed (Steelers talk is OK though)
Sean Mooney replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
It's also notable- you've never asked my opinion on it. You assume my opinion. You yell "YOUR PARTY" "YOUR SCOTUS" but you don't actually know where I stand on it. I also do wonder if you're concern for women extends to them being able to get abortions and the like? -

There was some discrepancy as to what the policy would do from experts. Additionally by some markers of how to define a woman they would be woman playing whether you or I like it or not. If you take the order a particular way it reads the way you want it too but there is more to it then that and it's more nuanced than you are making it. This isn't a cut and dry issue on many levels. -
You are inferring things I was not agreeing with in the article because it fits your narrative you want to present. I think there is a lot to the process of all this that is unknown or is very personal to the people involved. I don't like aspects of the care provided but I also don't feel like I should be dictating to someone in this case what they should be doing because it affects them personally.

I can believe he doesn't see himself as a victim....but he definitely uses himself as the victim as a selling point. It's his method of being "just like you..." when he isn't anything like the common man. He's manipulating them intelligently. -

For the last time I don't have a "party." That is just you trying to position someone against you because they aren't 100% lockstep in thought with you. Just stop. And that question tot eh SCOTUS judge was an ignorant gotcha attempt that was not quite as equally stupid as trying to castigate a dude for drinking some beers in college but it was up there. To you it might be a simple answer but there is some complication to it and it showed she is willing to look at all aspects of a question rather than popping off an answer. Also- did you get that list of politicians who want men in women's sports. -
Do you deny there are meds to boost testosterone and estrogen production in individuals? This gets at some of the questions I am asking/wondering about. No need to be a D!ck about it https://www.healthline.com/health/are-puberty-blockers-reversible#if-discontinued I was referring to the mental state of stuff as that was what the study was looking at.

What politician wants to put females in male sports? What politician says they don't know what a woman is? Why does it always go back to that with you guys? -
I don't support blockers....but there are meds you can take to boost testerone and estrogen production in a body...so maybe not specifically change back but increase the production. That's not uninformed- there is legitimate medicines that do that. I'm not sure how they would work against a previous puberty blocker- which is essentially blocking testosterone and estrogen production

I wasn't speaking to you directly about that comment- I didn't want to name people directly because too many here get their feels hurt right away. But there are people acting like this is just the news media showing itself by talking about endorsing a candidate- which again, happens all the time. -
Yes sometimes it is. There should always be a threat of getting punched in the kisser.

The forum here is predominantly conservative and I like needling people....if this forum were predominantly liberal- whoever the liberal version of you would be- would be calling me a MAGA weirdo by how much I mocked them -

Again I'm not sure what world some of you live in- newspapers have (at least as long as I've been alive) given endorsements to candidates. This whole story screams like either someone doing a favor or someone trying to create a story to drive likes to the paper -

And if there is someone who has never played the victim it is Donald Trump. Again- there is no way you all believe the things you say. -

One of their downfalls is going to be they have been trying hard not to hammer down on Biden but like- you need to. She's on the right track in saying "My presidency will not be a continuation of Biden's" but then she needs to go a little further with that -
The study didn't seem to cause any harm to anyone and was seemingly safe. I would imagine you can take pills or some medicine to change back the hormones in your body. I do feel like reattaching a lost appendage might be a tougher fix. And if WPATH wants to hold back information then why would she speak on the study at all? Even speaking on it a little is going to politicize it.

Yes someone is going to throw away their entire career and basically ensure their party is out of power for the next 20-30 years to just carry out a hit on Donald Trump. There is no way some of you actually believe the things you say. -
I'd be interested in reading a full length interview with the doctor to get more of her thoughts on the process and surrounding concepts and everything. I can't tell if she was trying to prove or disprove the Danish study. It feels like because she is an advocate she was trying to prove it but the results showed no real change in mood. But that seemed to mean whatever mood they entered with they generally kept with some people trending upward but not in a number that would quantify and lead to mass changes. I'd be curious too if, and how, the study changed her thoughts on this all.

Did you read the article? There is actually a lot of really good data and research and philosophical look at what it means in it.

You should also be able to penalize the other team by having them play blindfolded for like 2 minutes of the game at whatever point you choose. Down 15 and they get a foul you can either shoot 2 or they play blindfolded for 2 minutes. Also, if a guy makes three shots in a row without the other team making a shot the basketball should be set on fire as they play. -

FOX News did some editing on recent Trump interview at the barbershop: https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/24/media/fox-news-edit-trump-barbershop-interview/index.html?utm_source=business_ribbon FOX's official line is which- of course it was...that's how media works- be it FOX News, or CBS, or any other of the stations. They try to make things as clear and on topics in answers. It isn't the most honest policy in the business but it is what it is. -
