I once fell asleep at a Guns N Roses show. When I'm tired enough, I can sleep through anything. The problem is getting to sleep as a night owl that has to wake up by 5:30 at the latest for work. I normally only get 5-6 hours because I have a tough time shutting my brain down at night (insert joke here).

It's also on government agencies like the FDA, which again, has been controlled by both parties over the years. Without doing any research, I'd be willing to bet that liberal policies overall have been more pro-health than conservative ones. Fact is they are both in the pocket of big business, so they all look the other way when carcinogenic food additives start killing us. You've been around long enough to know that there is nothing Trump can do that they cannot ignore, whitewash, or wishcast away.

Maybe this will help. It only covers his first term, but there were court cases against him for enriching himself while in office, which is expressly forbidden in the constitution. The grift in his second term is making his first term look like a picnic at a nunnery in comparison.

I'll clarify if I didn't state it correctly: by relatively tiny problem I mean that it affects a very small amount of people compared with the amount of attention it gets. I think that the scapegoating and nastiness directed at the trans and LGBTQ communities as a result of this attention is abhorrent and that conservatives have waaaaay overreacted to the problem simply because it's a great culture war wedge issue. You (not you specifically, MAGA and many conservatives) keep saying you have nothing against these people as long as they keep to themselves and don't push their agenda. Then you berate and dehumanize their entire population because a tiny minority of an already tiny minority decide to unfairly compete in sports outside of their birth gender. "The left" (not the whole left, but that never gets clarified) is mostly responsible for defending these minorities and fighting for their rights and equality. That is a righteous cause with really unfortunate consequences. It never should have gotten to this point, and that's absolutely on the lefties for not recognizing the downstream effects of what they are trying to do. But do you really think it's the left amplifying it, and making it seem as though it's "being rubbed in our faces?" Fock no, it's the right doing that because it motivates their base. Biological men should not be competing in women's sports. This is obvious and common sense. As is not blaming huge swaths of people for what a tiny fraction of that population is responsible for. Same as the psycho that just murdered two people at the Jewish embassy. Israel may be committing war crimes. The young couple wasn't responsible for that, but now they're dead because some animal couldn't make the distinction.

There are lots of reasons I detest the Democratic party, this is but one of them. I might be liberal, but I only vote for Dems because I believe Donald Trump is a pox on our nation. I have to hold my nose and clench my anus while filling in Democrat circles at the polls. I HATE voting for the lesser of two evils, especially when, from a party standpoint, lesser evil is a relative term that both parties can inhabit depending on the subject. But Trump is completely intolerable, so here we are. I guess at least all those kegels at the polls have increased my sexual stamina, so thanks Trump!

Good article, thanks. It reminded me of my days as a medical biller at a small, rural clinic in Northern California. Medical billing is a sadomasochistic career, I only took it because there was no other work and they couldn't find anyone else that was reasonably competent. Dealing with MCR and Medicaid can be brutal from the provider side. For that matter, private insurers are probably as bad or worse. I would daily submit claims that were turned down for "errors" that did not exist. Denials for diagnosis codes were very common. I remember literally using an electric typewriter to try to fix claims that Medicare said were not "formatted correctly." It was a full time job just to track denials at a tiny little clinic in the middle of nowhere. I cannot imagine coding and billing for a massive hospital network. With these cuts, a lot of small clinics and hospitals may be done for, which will disproportionately affect rural Republican voters. Meanwhile, cuts in other enforcement areas will lessen the chances of the fraudsters being identified and prosecuted. Big Medicine and Big Insurance in this country is soooo fuct up, and neither party has any interest in making things better, it seems.

I never claimed it wasn't happening, simply that an overwhelming majority of people disagree with it, including most liberals. The whole thing is really a no-win situation. I am very thankful that I don’t have to deal with it... not yet at least.
