I mean, I don't want guys to get hurt either, but I'll be pretty pissed if someone like Josh Allen (or the Vikes new savior, JJ McCarthy) got hurt instead of Hurts. Fuckit, who am I kidding? It will definitely be McCarthy that gets decapitated and has his career ruined. The NFL changes rules only after the Vikings suffer ridiculous, humiliating defeats due to stupid rules.

California girls' track athlete opens up on losing 1st-place title to trans competitor

This is pretty much universally agreed upon, despite what some of the mooks around here choose to believe. -
The play should be illegal, but whatever. Wait til Hurts gets damn near decapitated and misses a bunch of games on one of these plays, and the NFL will change their mind.

Trump Corruption Thread - Qatar ‘gifts’ Trump a luxury jet
Fnord replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
You should read up on the subject, assuming you're capable. I certainly don't expect you to ever admit to being wrong about this, or to admit that your partisanship completely blinds you to what is happening before our eyes. But you could use some education. -

Trump Corruption Thread - Qatar ‘gifts’ Trump a luxury jet
Fnord replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
You say I'm and idiot yet you fail to see the point entirely. The reason the constitution states that these gifts can't be accepted is because to allow it is to tacitly endorse bribery. There cannot be even an appearance of impropriety. If it appears improper but is justified and excused, then it will also be excused when it is improper. Like I said, any NATO nation (yaknow, a real and official ally) could give him the same jet and it would still be illegal. IDGAF what the letter behind the politician's name is. I am consistent on this matter, which you also fail to see or acknowledge, while you whine about how crooked the Biden's are but blow this off cuz muh Trump. Who's the hypocrite? Now make another whatabout post and pretend you're not only a hypocrite, but also a blindly partisan lickspittle. -

Now you're spinning into whatabouts, the last remaining line of "defense." Frankly it doesn't matter one iota what the nature of the ruling regime in a nation presenting a massive "gift" to an American politician is. It could have come from the UK, France, Belgium, South Africa, or China. That it's being done at all is forbidden. Period. If a Democrat did it, you and I would be in agreement on this point. -

Perfect response when you have zero way to refute what I'm saying. A singular policy position of owning libs is what you seem to care about. Those we celebrate on Memorial Day would no doubt be really proud to know their sacrifices led to this. -

Politicians generally attempt to hide the bribes they accept, but not your boy! Trump is bragging about accepting a $400M jet from a nation that funds terrorism, a nation he criticized for doing exactly that in his first term. Accepting any gifts from a foreign country is EXPLICITLY forbidden in the constitution. MAGA: WINNING!! DOJ investigates the Bidens with specious evidence and decides NOT to prosecute, per national policy since the beginning of time. MAGA: THEY'RE CRIMINALS!! waaahhhh! Which of these events has more supporting evidence behind it? Don't answer, that's rhetorical. It's well established that MAGA has a reeeaaalllllyyy tough time understanding the concepts of truth, proof, and evidence. In light of that inability, they just believe whatever Trump tells them to. -

@Gepetto @TheNewGirl It's really frustrating and infuriating that your loved ones have had to go through this without being able to determine whether the vaccine may have played a role in their maladies. I can understand your reticence to embrace the vaccine after dealing with that. Good luck to all of you. All I can do is follow the advice of my PCP and employer, which up to now has been to get boosted. Curious to see what my employer does in the wake of these new guidelines. I trust them to be looking out for my well-being, and do not believe they would recommend it if there was solid science saying otherwise.

Tip Of The Iceberg Relating To Medicaid Fraud ?
Fnord replied to easilyscan's topic in The Geek Club
While nobody should have a problem with having individuals registered in multiple states being purged from all but their home state, enrollment snafus do not equate to fraud. The current tactic the GOP is embracing will cut the rolls of eligible recipients by burying them in useless paperwork and requiring them to re-apply every six months. These are things that past administrations have worked to alleviate, but are now being purposely undone. The largest perpetrators of fraud to Medicare/Medicaid are providers, labs, nursing homes, etc. submitting claims for services that were never rendered, overcharging for their services, or falsifying diagnoses in order to get paid. Seems like identifying and prosecuting those criminals is too much work, so instead they will kneecap the ability of the people that need it to acquire and use it. -
No idea, haven't seen anything about this story. She's been a known Assad apologist for longer than that, though.

I don't have time to sit on my ass and stare at Fox or any other news outlet all day. I'm glad you're coming around to the truth about Trump at least.
-
Unlike the living, breathing non-sequitur you're responding to, you're better than this. I've never had a problem investigating anyone for whom the evidence justified it. I haven't heard about this story and won't comment other than to say Tulsi's allegiances have been in question since she identified as a Democrat, years ago.

We obviously disagree about this, so let me say it this way: What if the Dems created a new position in the DOJ for a known Biden toadie who then went on to say the same things about Biden's enemies that Ed Martin did about Trump's? “If they can be charged, we’ll charge them, but if they can’t be charged, we will name them. And we will name them, and in a culture that respects shame, they should be people that are ashamed." Doesn't that sort of fly in the face of prosecutorial conduct?

I thought that it was just flat-out illegal for an offensive player to assist a teammate in moving forward with the ball. Musta missed when it suddenly became ok.

Well that sucks, sorry. Has a definitive link been determined between their issues and the C-19 vax by their respective providers?
-
Sure. No need to overreact for now. Do you think that if a Democratic admin did this that conservatives would be fine with it?

I work in a large hospital. The vast majority of my coworkers are vaxxed with multiple boosters, as am I and my family members. The answer to your question is no.

The head of the DOJ's "weaponization" group, who is ostensibly supposed to prevent weaponization, has unsurprisingly weaponized the DOJ against Trump's perceived opponents. If Justice Dept. Can’t Prosecute Trump’s Foes, It Will ‘Shame’ Them, Official Says Some highlights:

Wondering how/where Tony got this info. Not sure it's true, but if it is it seems like there's a big problem with the verification process for eligibility. Do you have a link?
