The LA Times is replacing it's entire editorial bored

Why are the ones that care the most also the least likely to read a newspaper? -
Got it, I was just having some fun with your moniker, not trying to make a statement. But as someone that has embraced a bit of my white privilege, specifically while operating motor vehicles, I highly recommend giving it a try. Very liberating!

I thought I remembered you being a Woody Allen fan. Woody Allen is easily my least favorite big name director. I have attempted to watch at least half a dozen of his films. Annie Hall was the only one I finished, and that's because I was getting somewhere with the chick I watched it with. Overrated, neurotic, unfunny tripe, even with the great actors he manages to snag. Polanski did Rosemary's Baby and Chinatown. Allen couldn't hope to touch either of those films in a hundred lifetimes. Stephen King directed one terrible film, Maximum Overdrive, which I would rather watch on repeat for the entire playing time of Allen's full filmography than watch a moment of any of Allen's films.

Well, with a name like White Wonder, you'd assume that he is well aware of the privilege...
-
Oh, it's all good. And it depends on whether you think Woody Allen is a pedo. Frankly, his movies suck so badly I find his filmography a bigger crime than marrying his stepdaughter. Polanski is probably a much worse human, but is most definitely a far better filmmaker.

Only one? I'm seeing at least two, and if we can believe some of the hullabaloo around here, they're ALL pedophiles. Right @League Champion?
-
Shall I take this as a 'no?'

I for one fully support our new MAGA overlords and wish them nothing but the best for fear of reprisals in the future.

As with many other things that should be strictly up to an individual, their family, and medical providers, assisted suicide should be legal in this country as well.

Oh come now, there's a whole coterie of people that deserve congratulations. Aileen Cannon may deserve nearly as much credit for him getting elected as Elon.

Another euphemism for masturbation? You are one clever SOB.

Posters here who claim to be centrists but who support all liberal policy and hate conservative beliefs.

Some people on here that I have a modicum of respect for have some nice things to say about @EternalShinyAndChrome. While my experiences with him do not align with what they are saying (LIKE, AT ALL), I am willing to take him off ignore for a few days to see if perhaps I've been mistaken about him. I'm willing to extend an olive branch, ESAC. How about you? -
Democrats and the Case of Mistaken Identity Politics
Fnord replied to Sean Mooney's topic in The Geek Club
No, and never claimed to be. For like the thousandth time: I am a registered independent that may have been a Democrat due to ideology if I didn't loathe the party. My loathing for them now is stronger than ever because of their arrogance and elitism. I staunchly support the constitution, 1A and 2A. You won't find me in here talking about gun control laws, or ever being in favor of mandated censorship of any kind. I strongly defend personal freedom and the right to make decisions about your own body, which is why I support the right to choose. Same way I support legalization of most drugs and strongly disagree with government-mandated C-19 vaccination, but have no problem with employers doing it, since they are private organizations that can make their own rules. I think that government should be smaller and more efficient, and that our national debt is a ticking time bomb. I would probably support a Republican if I thought they were serious about the deficit, but in my lifetime the only POTUS that ever addressed it was Clinton. I never voted for POTUS in my life until 2020, always leaving it blank because I don't vote for the lesser of two evils, until Trump came along. I've still never voted for a POTUS because I supported them, only because I felt compelled to vote against Trump. You don't see me in these threads defending Biden or Harris, unless in direct comparison with Trump. Just because I don't check your superficial boxes, you label me. Mostly, I don't care what anyone thinks or says. But when someone earnestly tells a blatant falsehood about me, I will respond. Make all the jokes and insults you want, but don't presume to tell me what I am or what I think. I won't do it to you, either. HTH. -
Jesus. EG's list is about to make me anti-semitic. Or at least anti- the asexual rube that assembled this list.

Democrats and the Case of Mistaken Identity Politics

Yes, intellectual honesty: Intellectual honesty is the practice of being honest when acquiring, analyzing, and sharing ideas. It's an unbiased, nonpartisan approach to problem-solving that involves being willing to state the truth, even when it goes against one's own beliefs or politics Those with it do not make absurd claims like you and @Patented Phil regularly do, treating huge numbers of people as being monolithic in thought, word, and deed. We can revisit your statement above in a couple of years and see how well your preferred party is preserving the Constitution. No doubt you'll defend whatever they do, since intellectual honesty ain't exactly a tool in your box, either. -
Must be cuz Shirley MacLaine is on the list. How did I not know Warren Beatty is her brother?
-
Gadot is gorgeous, but she's got that exotic thing going where sometimes she just looks kinda weird. Robbie might be the hottest woman on the planet, easy pick for #1. Alicia Vikander might be #2 for me.

I have some serious issues with this list, and none of them have anything to do with the faith of those pictured. Who the hell thinks Dakota Johnson or Kristen Stewart is more beautiful than Margot Robbie?

...and here you go again. Call me out for being the "i-toughguy (sic)" right before pulling your own i-tough guy act. You just prove me correct by continuing to act like the ignorant, brainwashed dupe you are. Notice I'm not threatening you despite your little tantrum; only calling you names after you insulted me. Have a nice day. Pig. -

I'm not a leftist. If you think that's the case, then you're exactly what you present yourself as: an ignorant, brainwashed dupe. This thread is the first time you've made these distinctions. I have years of your posting history supporting my stance that you're completely full of shlt and a hateful pig. Keep in mind I'm calling YOU a hateful pig, nobody else. Not over political ideology, but due to overwhelming evidence of you lacking self awareness and basic concepts of human respect and decency. Is that clear to YOU, little piggy? -
Well in the past they've sat themselves down in front of Fox news in primetime. See how well it worked!
-
With the same amount of credible evidence as last time. And it's not being reported in the reviled MSM, as opposed to last time, when right wing media ran with it.
-
Thanks, I guess. Would you care to address the rest of my post? Or would anyone else?
-
They will. By lobbying TRUMP (that's for you, @jerryskids) to tell him that he needs to dial back the deportations. Let's face it, nothing speaks to him like money. It's the center of his universe. My guess is that he will make a big show of deporting a few hundred thousand people and call it good before things get really out of hand.
