Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a huge part of turnip's plan to get rid of government employees justified by saying there are too many unelected bureaucrats making policy decisions? So, now he wants to hire an unelected man (who also happens to be the richest human on earth, who arguably is the single person most responsible for getting turnip re-elected, who has conflicts of interest everywhere, a wannabe oligarch with billions of dollars worth of government contracts on the line) to slash and burn government programs and payroll. Decisions that will affect potentially hundreds of thousands of people. Suddenly this is completely fine with Republicans.
