Worse NFL Team Fail This Season ?
Engorgeous George replied to BeenHereBefore's topic in The Geek Club
When Detroit lost a D.B to injury on the first or second play I asked myself will that finally be the straw which breaks the camels back. Yeah he was not one of their stars, but they, the stars, were long since injured. Rather, he was what they ahd left and he was now out. I wondered when will the cumulative effect tip them over to the point where they simply cannot defend. Turns out they culdn't stop Washington and so that may have helped induce some silly calls on ofense feeling they had to do to much just to keep up. Frankly had they just run Gibbs more and threw more to LaPorta and St. Brouwn I think thy could have kept up fine, they did not need a flea flicker to a W.R. throwing then downfield. Still, that has been their personaluity for the past tw plus years. As for the Packers loss, well they two were substantially injuried going in and suffered major injuries early. In the Packers case they showed they are more than a physical match for Philly even with the injuries. Unfortunately they ae not a mental match for St. Anna's School for Exceptional Children's co-ed flag football team. They hold, they line up offsides or in illegal formations, they cannot figure out how to not have linemen 5 yards downfield on passes and they forget assignments at inopportune times. Lafleur is great at scheming things up and at making adjustments. He loses himself in then passions of the game and makes some poor decisions, and he has not instilled discipline. I know the team is the youngest in football, but they make fundamental errors I would not accept from an 8th grade team. I cant decide if Lafleur is the coach for them. Great coordinator, but dammit get some discipline or get out. The Vikings, i did not see any ready made excuses for their performance. They finally regressed to the mean. -
Sub zero temps and snow and dangerous wind chills are setting in. Some will not make it through. There was a time when I helped set up a program, since taken over by a 501(c)(3) organization called Aurora Warms the Night. We got the homeless off the streets during extreme weather. I used to have to go out in this weather to open and supervise the shelter. Not exactly SOP for an Attorney. They no longer operate in the same facility or under the same rules, but they are still out there trying to keep folks from freezing to death.

For the President, or in general? In general, for folks like you and me it is legal. There are questions of proof over whether we intend for that stamp to be our signature, but if we personally use that stamp and present it as our signature it is indeed our signature. As for the President, he or she is required to afix their signature to certain documents. Some of those documents are legislative acts, treaties, and executive orders. Historically no President has ever used a signature stamp for those documents and so the question has not been definitively addressed by the Courts. I have no reason to think the Courts would not accept that prctice, particulary in this day and age where the President is visually recorded "signing" documents. If the intent to ratify is exhibited clearly by the person representing thewriting or design as their signature taht is generally sufficient. -

Trump is going to develope carpel tunnel syndrome on day one. Signing over 100 executive orders is a lot of writting. I don't recall, when Presidents sign executive orders do they retire the pen after each signature, giving it to a main sponsor or proponent of the action and then use a fresh pen for the next order? If so they better have a case of pens standing bye. -

I sure don't miss having to leave my warm suburban home and my warm suburban wife to drive down into the old City neighborhood getting such a bad rap lately in the news to open up a dilapidated army gym to set up cots and then to check in scores of homeless folks and sit up through the night to supervise the facility along with a few volunteer officers. I don't miss having to wrangle with the City over whether city vehicles, cop cars and paramedic vans and code enforcement cars could be used to transport the homeless to the shelter.i don't miss wrangling with an existing 501(c)(3) to get their van and insurance to tansport the homeless. I don't miss having to get a federal grant and then a special release fom motorola to equip that van with a radio tied into our Dispatch frequency since motorola had a limit on the mumber of users we could have on our Dispatch system. I particualrly don't miss the County coming by and telling us we could not serve warm soup or coffee as we did not have a licensed kitchen. (We could provide prepackaged cold meals.) (Turns out we could serve coffee if we did not serve soup or unprepackaged sandwiches.) Still, after many years, when the mercury drops and the winds pickup and the snow starts to drift habit now tells me I should be out doing something instead of sitting around. I'm like my old springer spaniel who could not figure out why I would not shoot the pheasants she compulsively had to flush when we went out for walks when she was extremely old. She never escaped her training.

Go and fire up some Taylor Swift and dream of the day she tosses aside Travis Kelce for an aging, out of shape strip mall manager because she is sexually excited by pot bellies, thinning hair, and a consistently parrotted woke perspective. -

You are more optimistic than am I. I doubt we have 20 years. Our once independant, warrior, cowboy culture is now a bunch of bleeding heart, men visiting spas and salons instead of saloons, pussified culture begging to be overthrown. I call our curent predicament the Schocheting of America.

So we negotiated with terrorists, legitimizing them as a negotiating force. Our negotiation was to stop working toward their emminent destruction. For this they would give us one hostage for any 30 to 50 prisoners, some of war, some just violent criminals. Seems to me we rewarded their hostage taking and have encouraged a repeat of the behavior. My negotiations, which would have started on October 8th, would have been over loud speakers and through air-droped pamphlets. It would have been, Dear Gazans, today, and every day until the hostages are released in good health and the following leaders are hog-tied and produced naked at a border checkpoint there will be death rained down upon you, your parents, grandparents, wives, and children. There will be starvation and disease. This horror is becasue your leaders, those you harbor, have chosen to use you as human shields for their cowardice. We have compassion for you, but not to the point were we will cease the reign of horror unless and until our people are returned and your leaders are given over to us for our justice. I would then have announced the leaders to be turned over and then I would have bombed the out of them. Every day before a new reign of bombing i would ahve repeated taht todays horror is becasue they ahve yet to comply with my demand for ending the war. They can stop it any time they wish. Some folks would question my compassion, my humanity. Let them. My job as a leader is not to reward terrorism, nor is it to insure the rights of those who harbor terrorists. My job is to protect my citizens. Is this policy unfair to the innocent children, certainly. Life is unfair. And I note I am willing to be fair just as soon as the side which perpetrated the war decides it wishes to play fair. Some will say but the poor, abused Gazan citizenry has been abused for decades and naturally they rose up. I don't care. If they want to rise up and appeal to the world through world courts and institutions, fine. If they want to rise up through passive reistence and non-violence, fine. If they seek to change the status quo or to get me out of office through persuasion or through action in the courts, fine, but when they engage in a sneak attack against women and children and then capture and rape thsoe women and children they have forfeited all consideration as far as I am concerned. Those of you who support this negotiated outcome have more or less insured another round of the same horror beginning anew. This is normalization of the October 7th event. -
I just googled Robin Givens. She looks damn good for a woman of her age, for a woman of any age really.

Obviously I am not admitted as a solicitor or a barrister in the United Kingdom. That said our legal systems are not dissimilia rours being initially based upon Emglish Common Law. In neither country would a planned revenge attack by many, armed with weapons, against an unsuspecting victim, days or weeks after an alleged crime be justifiable self defense. I can't even imagine it would be under Sharia Law, but who knows. Not an interesting question at all. As for the act being rape when consent was fraudulently obtained, sort of an extension of the tort of fraud in the inducement, maybe. Consent was not then knowing so it could not be or voluntary so that may allow a charge of rape to go forward, but again it has nothing to do with self defense. My concern, from the story, is that the blowee had heard the blowor was a tranny and dismissed that possibility pretty easily, on one denial. I would say the blowee maybe had some obligation to inquire or investigate further under the circumstances (Sir, you will where you stand). We argue the buyer ought to beware, the old caveat emptor. I think maybe there ought to be a corollary for B.J.'s from strangers on the fist date, at least when one has had initial cause to question whether there might be a twig and berries down below. -
Governor, Would you be willing to foster Biden's dogs Commander and Major, or at least deploy them on the border, or would you shoot them if they were delivered to your ranch? Has big hair helped your career? Would you agree to a dinner tonight with a desperately lonely Democrat Senator?
