It's going to be 103 here today (actually a cool snap!) so I don't think sashimi or ahi tartare would last very long outside... Actually, that's a bummer about holidays like the 4th. Our country builds them around when it is nice in most places, but it's hot AF here. Anyway, I mentioned elsewhere that we're going to the DBacks/Royals game tonight and then fireworks after, so I'll get some unhealthy ballpark food. It looks like they have some apple pie a la mode "nachos" tonight for the 4th, might try that. During the day we'll just eat whatever, enjoy some pool time, maybe give my wife some sexy time, we'll see. We're going up to the Michigan Yoop next Friday for a week; that's our unofficial 4th celebration.

Leaf Blower Ban Takes Effect This Tuesday, July 1; Violations Carry $500 Fine

That reminds me, I have the 80V chain saw as well. Gotten a lot of use out of it, again mostly at my last house, but I've cut down at least one tree at this house. -
Dang! What did you do?

One of my walls has a 3 foot raised planter along it with some of the bougainvillea and other stuff; it's otherwise just dirt, not rocks. For that, I sometimes cover the hole in my throat with a scarf to prevent dirt clogging up the filter I have over it. -

I have closer to 1/2 acre; my back and side walls are lined with 8 each bougainvillea and oleander, plus some miscellaneous bushes, all of which generates a decent amount of leaves. I cut the grass every week, and blow maybe every other. I actually got it for my previous house which had a much larger yard and grown trees. Like I said, I like doing it. I'm not that guy out there with scissors trimming the grass to a perfect length, but I like when it looks nice. My son is 29 and has owned a house for like 5 years. His yard looks like shiot. His GF's parents just the place for the first time; odds are they'll be his inlaws some day. I can't imagine they were impressed. I told my wife I think I'm going to pull him aside, slap him in the head, and tell him he is an adult and home owner, take some focking pride man. -

I'm not following the details of what you guys are arguing about. I'm just happy that you seem so happy. You've had a rough stretch recently, and the stress shows in your posts. -

Look at Timmy, feeling good about getting his gotcha after a week of being destroyed in the Israel thread. Enjoy yourself, Tim! -

You said "they lie about everything," then listed "he beat his wife" in your example list. That's a fact. -
Israel attacks Iran UPDATE: Trump claims a cease fire among all countries

I thought only young, military-aged men went to the aid sites. You know, because they are so dangerous. That was your argument defending an earlier Hamas Harry video. -

Why are you pulling Strike and me into your slap fight? You think the wife beating is a lie? How many blue pills did you take this morning? -

I've got the Greenworks 80V system with blower, mower, and hedge trimmer. Focking phenomenal. Our lawns in Phoenix are smaller than a lot of yooz who live in rainy, shiotty places, so it might not have enough life for larger lawns. But the blower is great -- almost as good as a gas-powered, and plenty of juice. The hedge trimmer was a bit of a luxury -- I already had a Ryobi 20V one, but I've got some large bougainvillea and oleander which need manlier muscle. I like doing my own yard work, especially bulk trash collection. I like looking at my yard and thinking yeah, I did that. -

Nope. Again, no video. It's a conundrum wrapped in an enigma. You can provide video of some old guy getting drone-sploded, and two guys in a firefight, but nothing of this massive killing field. Rolling Stone? The funny thing is: I expected you to have the receipts when this started, since you usually do. And I expected to concede that they had done some bad stuff, and to get into a discussion about moral relativism. But you surprised me by having absolutely nothing resembling credible evidence. So I'm not asking you to admit it definitely didn't happen. I'm asking you to admit that you have absolutely no credible evidence that it did, and that that lack of evidence is strong evidence that it didn't. If you can't admit that, we're done here. -
Man, that idiot was all over our local sports radio the next day! I could absolutely not believe his complete lack of remorse. He basically said that he has season tix there and he never goes over the wall; well, he's been ejected three times, but at least two of them were wrong! He then said if you look at the video of this latest one, even though he almost tumbled onto the field, it wasn't really interference! What a maroon. In the end he probably helped us, as the umps called it interference and it stood as a double, and it... probably... was a homer? But you need to punish the behavior and not the result. The behavior was to interfere with the DBacks catching the ball. See ya!

We're going to the DBacks/Royals game this Friday, and there is a fireworks show after the game. We've done that a few times. Historically, we would often go to a small town in the Yoop of Michigan to visit family. My inlaws had a nice place on a lake, and their next door neighbor used to put $15K+ into a massive display. Several other houses on the lake went all out as well -- it was like a re-enactment of the Star Spangled Banner battle. They've since sold the house, and while we are going up to the same city for a family get together, it's not until the week after the 4th, so we won't see any up there this year. While I occasionally got the $50 box for the kids when they were younger, I guess I've convinced myself that I prefer to let others do the work.

What concerts do you most regret not attending?

1980s Jerry would never have gone to see them; I was too much of a music snob. 2020s Jerry would definitely; I've come to appreciate fun (and influential) music. -

Oh, the aid thing was nothing now? Just a throwaway, your fourth thing? Not a serious poster. Sorry, you have gotten curb stomped in this discussion, you don't get to negotiate up from there. I'll give you maybe, like on the level of Mamdani isn't an antisemite maybe (hint, that's a pretty weak maybe). But first, you need to concede that you were gaslit by Hamas Harry on the shootings at aid drops. -

I'm trying to figure out how we can get Tim a win here; he's not going to stop until he finds one. The shooting at aid stations is total crap at this point. Can we give him that Israel might have been a little liberal in assigning Hamas ties to journalists who, on the surface, seemed pretty tight with Hamas? Maybe a few of the "journalists" weren't just Hamas operatives who wore a press pass? He can then feel he defended his "Israel does war crimes too!" position that started all this, which isn't an attempt at moral equivalency mind you, but very much has the feel of a lot of time and effort trying to gin up a moral equivalency argument. Just trying to keep everyone happy. -

You went from 200 to 3, and this is your evidence of systemic targeting journalists? DropDeadHamasHarryNews is clearly a Hamas hack site, just scroll through it. What is the purpose of that last link? To show that kids sometimes die in war, especially when your enemy is a soulless evil who builds its facilities under schools and hospitals? Face it, you've gotten gaslit in every direction on this. Unfortunately your brain can't process that. I wonder how many hours and how many clicks you've spent trying to find one picture or video of Israel actually doing what you accuse them of? My o/u is 20 hours. -
Israel attacks Iran UPDATE: Trump claims a cease fire among all countries
jerryskids replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
You've shown videos of young men running in the desert (because there are no widows or orphans in Gaza) with gunfire in the background, provided by clear Hamas supporting sites. I'll repeat although you don't like truth so you'll ignore it: The US and Israel ended the "aid" provided by UNRWA, because UNRWA is a Hamas shill that was providing the aid directly to them. Hamas is, understandably, apoplectic about it, because control of food and other aid is one of their last holds on the population, not to mention they want all that aid for themselves. So Hamas Harry sends out videos and says "look, they're shooting at us!" and you lap it up like a good little moderate. This, despite the fact that the sites are being funded by the US and supported by Israel. So there are two basic scenarios. Either: 1. Israel is shooting civilians at aid sites PROVIDED BY the US and Israel. In fact, Israel set up the sites so that they could be point blank to shoot all the women and children. Or 2. Hamas Harry is gaslighting you I need to run so enjoy your gaslighting. -

Blaming? I don't know what you are blabbering about. I'm conceding there are societal factors, the largest of which is peer pressure by other young girls during their formative years... ... despite what this jamoke says. Bro thinks that a woman who accepted the social peer pressure to make it to college as a STEM student and then into the professional world, is going to quit because a guy called her "honey." -

Dude, you've moved the goalposts so far I can't even see them. Let's see... we've got Israel killing a guy they said was a terrorist, and "SuppressedNews" says he was just some innocent. Who to believe... I know, let's go to the SuppressedNews home page. What's at the top? Calling the pathetic loser who led "Death, Death to the IDF" chants a legend. Nice side you are on, Tim. Regardless, I don't know, maybe it was a mistake. Unless you think Israel targets innocent disabled men with valuable drones. Actually, maybe you do. Funny that there is video of both events though. Anyway, does this mean you finally concede that you don't have anything substantial to back your claim of Israel shooting civilians at aid sites?
