Yesterday I was on a Zoom call; we were discussing politics in general and somebody commented how polarized they had become. A woman chimed in, "yeah, ever since Trump!" I thought but didn't say: politics aren't polarized because of Trump, politics are polarized because of YOUR REACTION TO Trump. It's a same with the ICE riots. It's not the rioters' fault -- ICE instigated them by being there$#@!

The protests are organic! @EternalShinyAndChrome, beware the word "protestors." I think Tim used that specifically so he can differentiate later between protestors and rioters. He's already laying the groundwork.

Maybe not next because it's too similar, but in my research for our current draft I hit on a ton of great songs from the 2000s. I'd be up for a draft of that decade at some point.

Dang, that stuff looks awesome! For lunch: My wife just got back home after being at a conference all week. The kitchen was sorta bare at lunch, so I just munched on some charcuterie meat and cheese on crackers. Usually on Friday for dinner we get oysters on the half shell and mussels at Whole Foods. The oysters are $1 each if you buy at least 10 and have an Amazon account (maybe need to be Prime as well; dunno but we are Prime). Wife cooks the mussels in a butter and wine sauce. That's usually... today, as often happens when she comes back from being out of town, she feels like she ate like crap so she just ran to the store to get some veggies to go with scallops which are defrosting.

The issue wasn't whether or not the Trump team technically committed a campaign misdemeanor long ago. The issue is exactly how I stated it; I'm not going to go back and copy and paste it. Go and reread it. If you say you'd be fine with, say, Arkansas dredging up a decades' old misdemeanor on Hillary, and spinning it into a novel felony for the sole purpose of trying to derail her run for POTUS, I'd say you are full of crap.

Great post. I've been meaning to post that I expect large turnout for these events in part because Trump is solving the Gaza problem. With that box checked, the Lefties have one less issue to protest about. Well, they still complain about Gaza (real estate$#@!) but it's not the same. Anyway, they will channel their "revolution" energy into this issue, for the weekend at least.

We were specifically discussing SaintsInDome's calling Trump a "felon" and that in his opinion, his felony convictions should prohibit him from becoming POTUS. To my knowledge, that only applies to the case I mentioned. And you seem to agree with me that the felony convictions were a traveshamockery. But Saints is quite the opposite. I don't even know how to have that conversation; TDS is the only reason I could think that somebody twists that case in their mind into an acceptable case of jurisprudence. On the general topic of the felony prohibition, prior to the Stormy case I'd have been willing to discuss it. But after that lawfare, I don't see how I could support it.

That would bring real estate prices down. Mamdani FTW$#@!

Healthcare is an extremely complex system with lots of variables, which I don't think it's worth rehashing now. That being said, I think you are saying there is nothing specific about this loan, but rather that we should not give any money to any country. Correct?

Also, I had heard that Trump wasn't going to give Argentina money unless Milei was re-elected, since to do so was basically to piss it away to a leftist regime that would likely go bankrupt again.

Are you saying that we should never give any money to any country until we make "health care affordable," whatever that specifically means? Or do you have an issue with this particular loan, vs. say budget for LGBTQ+ theater in the middle east? (I'm making that up, but you get the idea)

The "awful message" is that Democrats used lawfare to gin up novel felony scenarios to indict and convict the presumptive Republican candidate for POTUS. Good summary, but he doesn't get it. Or he's intentionally being obtuse, since he seems intelligent. Normies get this, hard core Lefties don't. Every time a Leftie calls Trump a felon$#@!, the collective country rolls their eyes at them.
