Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

This is a very interesting point. If I were on Team Kamala, I would say something like "she is not about degrading people, she is about inclusion." The reality though is what you describe in your last paragraph.

Trump talk only- no Eagles talk allowed (Steelers talk is OK though)

Is it now? A smarter, pseud idea is that Joe Biden is putting in 16 hour days running the free world?

Aren't you the centrist saying this time Trump will be different$#@! Bingo. Half the people in the country are voting for Trump. The other half are voting against Trump. There are a handful of outliers like @The Real timschochet and @squistion who claim to be actually voting FOR Kamala, but they are probably Russian bots. I find it odd that our resident centrists, who are so concerned about our democracy, never seem to comment on this.

    Jury duty pay.

I'm pretty sure that every company I've worked for since graduating (seven, I think) has paid time off for jury duty. These range from Fortune 100 public companies to two private companies with < 100 employees (the last one probably also did the pet bereavement thing; they had a lot of pet benefits). Maybe it's the tech industry, or just generally having an "exempt" sorta professional career?

McDonald's: Buy Shares On The Cheap Tomorrow

Wut? He's responding to Squissy's New Republic op ed that called it "weird" and "desperate." Apparently, New Republic didn't get the DNC memo that they have moved off of "weird" and are focusing on "HitlerFascist$#@!" It was quite organic, Trump clearly had a good time, and it's something Kamala could never do because there wasn't a teleprompter.

Dang, that was painful to watch. But she's not Trump, wheeeee!

    Jury duty pay.

Funny timing, as I need to call tonight to see if I have to go in tomorrow. It's not even the REAL (county) court, it's some muni court that I'm surprised I'm in its jurisdiction. So if my memory serves from a brief time in a similar courtroom long ago (didn't pay to register a home alarm with the po-po), it will be mostly illegal aliens driving without licenses. Also, this would be my first time going since my laryngectomy. Part of me wonders if they would even consider me. I should give some thought to any special considerations I would need, if any. When I was a young salesperson, I got out of jury duty multiple times by claiming (the technically true statement) that I sold a small number of very expensive pieces of equipment, and any one day could make or break my financial situation for the year. AZ has since cracked down on such claims and requires a note from your company requesting exclusion. Had I ever gotten onto a jury that was expected to last weeks or months, I probably could have gotten out of it.

Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

Agreed. The Left likes to legislate from the extremes on abortion. OMG, a 10 yr old hyperpubescent girl from Ohio got impregnated by her POS father, we need to let all women abort whenever they want%$#@! Is it though? Is it bad for a society that wants to continue to exist, to encourage the sanctity of life? As a libertarian, I agree with Bill Clinton: safe, legal, and RARE. It's the same way I feel about the trans stuff. I'd just as well the government not get involved with these issues. But here we are, telling women that it's cool to kill your unborn child for convenience (the vast majority of abortions). And as a bonus, we think backfilling with illegal aliens is the way to keep our house of cards going. To me, it is so obvious that this is the primary threat to our country, not Trump hanging Pence on a faux gallows. And it is just wrong, this glorification of selective abortion for convenience. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Oof. I'd stick with the severe deformity part. "Monetary burden" is a bad look.

    Kamala Harris is drunk

We're talking about the same people who were fine voting for a guy with full-on dementia. and are fine that that demented guy is still POTUS.

You seem intelligent, please tell me that you don't buy into the Leftist disinformation that the SCOTUS decision said the bolded about the POTUS.

Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

True, it's not complicated. I specifically mentioned op-ed shows. You understand those are different than news shows, right? Perhaps if all your MSDNC stations hired somebody with personality and humor for their opinion shows, they'd get better viewership. The Left: the party where humor goes to get censored. Trump was mean!

Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

You act like Rupert Murdock unleashed the full power of his media empire on this, not that a comedian who hosts a conservative op-ed somewhat humorous show wrote some jokes for Trump. Yeah, those are the same. I was trying to think of a comparably funny person from the MSDNC, but I can't.

Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

You think your big win is that Greg Gutfield wrote some jokes for Don, and somehow that puts the integrity of all of the Fox News organization in question? This is dumb even for you, which was already a very low bar. Also, good to know that an influential, successful VP at a $B healthcare-adjacent company can spend all day arguing dumb stuff on a low-rent FF message bored. Ludicrous? I'll give you three things to consider: 1. One of the biggest knocks on Kamala is her lack of authenticity. This was a chance for her to refute that. She chose not to. 2. She looks weak by chickening out. People don't want a POTUS who backs down from a challenge on the domestic or world stage. Now, you might argue that Trump chose not to do some more 3 on 1 debates, and that's fair. But the Trump cake is already cooked; we know how it comes out. Kamala's cake is still liquid batter. 3. I grew up a Catholic in the Scranton Diocese, PA. In 1984, our bishop John O'Connor was chosen as the Archbishop of NY, and became a Cardinal. It was a huge source of pride for a blue collar community, and always has been. So, I would posit that dissing the NY Diocese might not sit well with some PA Catholics who were sitting on the fence. I could be wrong about all this of course. But in a tight race, every bit matters. It's certainly not "ludicrous."

Al Smith Dinner, Trump wins the election

It surprises me that some people, including the above, still think that the Left is the party of humor. True liberals have humor, but not the neo-Leftists. They also probably think they are still the party of free speech and the working class. George Carlin was a liberal. He's rolling over in his grave bemoaning what the Left has done to destroy comedy.

Maybe Kamala should have used this material, instead of avoiding the event because she is a vacuous bot.

    Bill Clinton: SOTU Address 1995

Write in Tulsi Gabbard? Kamala had the most progressive/Left voting record in the Senate, surely you know this.

    Bill Clinton: SOTU Address 1995

I'd say it was the combo of Clinton and Newt Gingrich which got a bunch of stuff done across the aisle in Congress.

    War in Israel

A great achievement, although I presume that the Leftist pro-terrorist faction will claim that some "innocent" stubbed a toe and that this makes the operation OPPRESSIVE%$#@! Now would be a great time for the US to go to Iran and say "here's the deal, you have 24 hours to have Hamas release all of the hostages, otherwise we'll unleash Israel to destroy all of your nuclear capabilities and airfields. We'll check back in 24 hours, OK bye!" But we won't. Because our country is being run by... nobody knows who, but people who won't agree to it. Kamala, change!
