Spent today watching the first day of taekwondo (smallest weight classes). It's a slight variation of what I used to compete in; (perhaps) obviously I wasn't as good as these folks, but I knew (younger, more flexible) people who were. Watching the smallest weight classes of weightlifting now. We do these lifts at my HIIT/crossfit gym, and the weights are just crazy. These are the kinds of events I love at the Olympics. [Also, watched the DBacks sweep the Guardians today in a doubleheader and for the series.]

Had my cancer not metastasized, it would likely be considered cured at this point. Once it metastasizes though, it's (historically) never considered as such. It is when, not if, it will come back to kill you. Which is why this is potentially new territory, as my onc said.

Update! Had scans today for the first time in 4 months, still essentially all clear. We met our new oncologist today, as my previous one retired recently. He said something which is how I've felt for some time, which was basically the following: "we don't call people in your situation 'cured' because we've never had that historically. But, it seems that some people are being cured by these new (in my case, Keytruda) treatments." We also moved the next scans out to 6 months, so February ish. That's extra cool because it seems every year I have scans in December and it stresses me out to go into Christmas with bad news. I'll never be called cured, see above, but I'm feeling pretty dang good today.

It took so long because, and I've said this already, the "weird" thing was your MSDNC masters trying an aikido move to redirect Harris' weirdness. Because by any objective measure, she is a cackling, coconut tree, word salad package of weird. Unfortunately for you, your side won't do it, because those topics all make the discussion a referendum on the current administration, which means you lose. Which is why they are focusing on important topics like cat ladies, couches, weirdness, and seeing how long the MSDNC will be OK without asking Harris a single question, 12 days and going strong.
