Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency

Fair enough. That article is from Jan 2017 though. He obviously didn't do anything his first time around. I feel like, in the spirit of Scott Adams of Dilbert fame, that we are "watching two different movies" on this topic. And I would argue the movie hasn't started since he isn't POTUS yet but... in your and @The Phantom's Phantom movie, RFK comes in and goes scorched earth on vaccines. In my movie, where RFK has stated that he wants to be data driven, he'll fund investigations into autism, vaccine schedules, mercury, immunity from lawsuits, etc. I guess we'll see which movie plays out, or even if we'll ever agree that we are watching the same movie.

If you lick her bung hole a little more, maybe she'll send you an uber sexy pic of her Frankenstein hand as well.

I'm not confident that Arizona would extradite me to Cali for that.

I'm not sure that a person who hosted a "Kamala victory" party would want to talk to me. That might make it sweeter tho.

Not particularly. The time to have fun with this has probably passed. Also, I don't think I was overly involved in this discussion until this pic, and if so, I presume I was being playful, because this doesn't keep me up at night. Now it just seems forced, like when your SO says "fine!" to end an argument. She could have come in the day after, hungover, been "one of the guys," and said "I was epically wrong, let me have it!" Instead, here we are, with you being her white knight and me wasting time typing this stuff.

Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency

Understanding the consequences? Is that like the 80 IQ take that Trump is going to end democracy and all future elections? I didn't understand that one either. We've got posters here who believe it though. I think what you mean is: how did I weight the likelihood of your description actually coming to fruition. Like I said, if bad things happen, we can have those discussions. But I don't think they will eliminate the MMR vaccine on 1/21 anymore than I think Trump is going to end democracy and all future elections.

For the record, the post you quoted of mine was merely stating that I was asked to verify that she had carpal tunnel surgery, and that's what I did. I made no comment about the timing or her ability to post here. Sorry @OldMaid, but this is a good post, particularly the bolded. You disappeared on election night and for days after. Then we learn about your surgery. But wait, you were at a friend's house on election night. And hung over the next day. And in all of this, you haven't really eaten your crow. You've turned into "Strike is a meanie" and you have Gutter defending you. Just keeping it real.

Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency

I figured that this was your genius take. I didn't vote for RFK. If RFK just authoritatively starts whacking vaccines, we can have that discussion. I understand your concern since you work in big pharma; if an administration was looking to turn my industry upside down, I'm not sure how I'd feel about it. Probably not good. That being said, I don't generally think in terms of "what's in it for me" when I think about POTUS candidates. I tend to think more broad brush at that level. If I were to think that way though, probably the single most beneficial presidential impact on my industry (semiconductors) was the CHIPS Act, which I've lauded here on multiple occasions. Even though I'm retired, it still directly impacts other members of my immediate family. But that didn't incentivize me to vote for Kamala. I hope Trump continues to invest in it, and to tell Xi to stay the hell out of Taiwan or he'll go berserk on him.

Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency

Sorry, I missed this over the weekend. I'm great, health and otherwise. For my cancer, they've started throwing around the possibility that they'll call me cured if nothing comes back in a year or two. Otherwise, I finally have some meaningful volunteer work going on. Also, @Bert is coming to Phoenix in December, and I've made plans to golf with him and for us and our wives to grab dinner. How are you doing? I don't recall a recent health update from you.

Trump doesn't believe any vaccines are safe and that they cause autism?

Trump talk only- no Eagles talk allowed (Steelers talk is OK though)

Because Hurts can squat like 600 pounds. There is a reason every other team doesn't just do it. Although that reminds me, that Saquon is something of a squat monster as well. So I agree with @Maximum Overkill that Saquon could probably be comparably effective doing it.

    NFL Week 11

No review on that clearly incomplete pass, you can't make this up.

    NFL Week 11

Cards are up a game and have already beat SF once this season. So they are kinda up two at the moment. And their schedule is much easier from here on in. Refs are furiously trying to figure out how to give this one to the Chiefs. Not sure they can do it, but I expect them to try.

I'm watching Red Zone. More interested in Seahawks/Niners, personally.

    NFL Week 11

Color me shocked that cmh's "NFL week 11" thread is a thinly-veiled "all Chiefs all the time" thread.

Agreed with both posts. I don't know if the specific mechanics were planned, since nobody seemed to know what was in it when they voted on it. But I think the plan was that once you throw something out there, no matter how bad, you can't put the toothpaste back in the tube, and inevitably we'll get to universal health care to "fix" it.

***The Official Official Chain Restaurant Draft***

A few comments: - Fuddruckers is my favorite chain burger of all time. Buttery buns, juicy burgers, and you can put as much plastic cheese sauce as you want on the burger, fries, anything you want. Other fixings as well. - I've never eaten at Culvers, but I want to try it. The guy who bought my last house owns 3 franchises, so I've been meaning to do it. Keeping with the cheese theme, I'll try their cheese curds.

    Tankless water heater?

I'm interested in this topic as well. The OP listed a gas heater, but we don't have gas. If you don't either, you likely need a 220V run to the installation point. We did this under our kitchen sink during our remodel a few years ago, but we haven't installed it yet. Our (read: my wife's) complaint is that the kitchen sink is on the opposite end of the house from the standard heater, so it takes 2 minutes for hot water to get there. Honestly, the only reason I haven't installed one is that they generally seem to take up a lot of space under the sink. If anyone has recommendations of heaters that don't take up too much space, I'd appreciate it.
  20. I never complained about the idea behind what she did, but I disagreed with the implementation. This. Also, I don't blame Michelle for doing what she did, since it's not her job to be the nutritional scientific expert. But the food pyramid is NOT healthy.

I've also said here multiple times that I think vaccines are on the Mount Rushmore of greatest inventions (discoveries?) of all time. But that doesn't mean that there isn't room for improvement in the vaccine industrial complex.

Also, @OldMaid sent me a picture of her hand with carpal tunnel stitches and a sign that said "Rusty licks windows clean," so I'm confident that she's telling the truth. OK, I made up the Rusty part, but I'm still confident.
