Time to buy those things you never needed! If anyone sees good deals, post them here. I just bought a Greenworks 80V hedge trimmer. I've got their lawn mower, blower, and chain saw, and they are all great. I have a ton of bougainvillea, oleander, and other random shrubs, and my Ryobi 20V trimmer just isn't cutting it (literally). I put it in my cart at $240 yesterday, just bought it today for $170. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CLSF59XP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Think of it as me being too lazy. That's usually a good model. I was going to post something like, "ya know, instead of OldMaid, I think it maybe was that chick who ran off with GettnHuge." Not sure what it says about me that I instantly remembered the dood's name, but not hers.

I'm not familiar with NPPES (just googled it), nor do I know how accurate the data on that site are. That being said, I believe that you are correct in your belief that hospitals do not need to report the data, although another search didn't give me an obvious clear answer. If true, that should be scary to anyone IMO.

Again, I don't disagree. I will say that the Greenworks trimmer I initially mentioned was $240 going back to April, other than this window. So it definitely was a deal. Somebody like Greenworks might sell stuff as a loss leader occasionally to get you hooked on their battery/tool system (like I am with Ryobi 20V for tools that don't need 80V). Even if something is available elsewhere for the same price, I'll almost always buy it from Amazon because (1) free and fast shipping, and (2) easy returns. Costco would be an exception, plus I'd have it already instead of waiting until tonight (but it would be black, not the cool blue). But I had to go to Costco and walk past (and notice) the display to know about the deal. We buy our computers at Costco when it's time to upgrade, when on sale (usually Black Friday), because we can go in and see them first. On your last point, I totally agree on the bolded. As an electrical engineer, I'm very aware that no matter how much you try qualify a product before release, it doesn't really get tested until it goes to market and the public puts it through the ringer.

I wonder if Tim Trebuchet will ever fix the error? -
That looks similar to keepa. I don't know if the above does it, but keepa embeds in the Amazon product page, so the data is right there with no clicks needed.

I actually thought that this morning, but I was drawing a blank on her name, so I figured I'd wait for you to come in, correct me, and tell me I'm a retard.

Well... yes and no. I still had that Blink link open, and it is back up from $99 to $259. I also use a plug-in called "keepa" which shows the historical price on Amazon, I highly recommend it. The blink was $259 for the past three months except for a 2-week window in late August ($139) and the 2-week window that ended yesterday ($99). The Bose headphones were $250 for all of August, then up to $350 until the two Prime Days. That being said, Costco probably has comparable vendor influence as Amazon, and it wouldn't surprise me if they have in their contracts the option to sell products at Prime Day deals. And/or like I speculated, Bose maybe has some new headphones coming out and wants to dump inventory. I don't go to Costco that often but I'm tempted to stop in, say, next week and see if they still have the deal going on.

Thanks for posting this. It's quite frightening. Have we passed "it's happening but it's rare" and reached "it's always been this way" yet?

Yeah, I guess technically I have that. Also Ed's closet in case this place poops the bed. I did used to post some at TheDanZone but that has gone away. Also I was a member of the Sanctuary for a while, but see my earlier comment -- I don't have the energy to maintain multiple sites, so over time I stopped posting, and they eventually banned me.

Same. I already spend way too much time and mental energy on you dopes; I couldn't handle another place.

Went last year for our 30th anniversary for two weeks; I'm sure I posted about it here, but... Half the trip was a hiking excursion with a company called Backroads, which I highly recommend if that is your thing (they also do cycling and combo events, all of varying difficulties). Spent a day in Pisa before the trip, it was OK, one day is enough there though. Cinque Terre was beautiful and worth visiting for a day or two. The cities are built on the side of mountains, so any walking there is a bit of a workout. Italian Riviera (Santa Margarita Ligure, Portofino) was also nice; more of a chill, beachy thing without a ton to do, though. Tuscany was great if you like Chianti, winery tours, and quaint little villages with shopping and restaurants. We stayed at a castle that was beautiful. Second half of our trip were Florence and Venice, which you said you aren't interested in. 17 years ago on a separate trip we went to Rome for three days. Did all the touristy things, it was fun. Don't even think about driving in the city, tho. I'd like to hike the Dolomites. Also the wife has ancestry in Naples, and I hear that's a fun town. But having been to Italy twice, I doubt we'll go back. Next big trip will probably be South America which we've never been.

What specifically of what he said do you find inaccurate? -
As you know, the votes are already in. And 50-50 for Ohtani... I don't even know how to process that. Lindor wins the non-Ohtani MVP, that's still quite an accomplishment.

I'm loving these playoffs -- I don't know if it's because the DBacks were in it until the last game of the season, but I'm tuned into these games. Also, for the above folks -- the WS winner comes out of the NL. The AL teams are all pretenders. Ninth inning for the Philthies to get 3, or else they are done.

Also, Amazon has this Blink package on sale. I have no idea if it is a good deal; I've got a single Aosu video doorbell on my front door which works well. https://www.amazon.com/Blink-Outdoor-4th-Gen-3-Camera/dp/B0B1N5FK48?pd_rd_w=zeAOE&content-id=amzn1.sym.a109dc9a-810d-45e0-8524-e3ba3529ce0d&pf_rd_p=a109dc9a-810d-45e0-8524-e3ba3529ce0d&pf_rd_r=3C6SSRBAG20STA8W93H8&pd_rd_wg=Xei5k&pd_rd_r=d8bb897e-84ba-41a9-9fc5-28ccb41eb9bb&pd_rd_i=B0B1N5FK48

Iguana know how you know that. -
Just got back from Costco, two observations: 1. Saw an 8-ish yr old girl walking with Beats headphones on. They seemed kinda small, do they have kid size? If not, I'm not sure about the size for an adult. 2. Costco had the same Bose headphones I got for the same price, $199 (black only that I saw, I got the darker blue ones). Perhaps Bose is coming out with a new model and trying to move current inventory? Doesn't matter to me, as that's the way I like to buy technology -- I rarely need the latest greatest, and will take a deal on the then-current bestest technology. But for anyone interested in them, they may be available at Costco for a while. On a random Costco note, there was a truck in the parking lot selling car keys. I learned it's affiliated with Costco and rotates to different Costcos in the region. I lost one of my 2019 Lexus remotes/keys, and the dealership charges $450-ish. I asked about it and unfortunately they only currently go up to 2018 (check back in 6 months) for my ES. The girl (34B) estimated their cost would be $300. A while back I looked into trading/selling my car, But if you need such a remote, might be worth checking out.

I guess she doesn't need that $5 that Saint Barack asked me for during the football games this weekend? -

If they believe this in particular about Lebanon, they are getting the same disinformation that you are. -
Thanks! I'll look into if they'll work with my wife's much older headphones as well.
