I think Augusta, because it's Augusta, hard to get. And I've never been. 2027 is in Ireland. I turn 60 that summer and was thinking of paying for my kids to come celebrate at The Open, but maybe I'll look into the RC instead

American Heroes: Marjorie Taylor Greene

From The Hill article: I don't know that I was wrong for objecting to the election of a stroke victim at the time, but man, I love me some Fetterman. A beacon of sanity in the whackadoodle Democrat party. -
The worst was two Jones fractures in the same foot. The name refers to a specific spot near the 5th metatarsal (pinky toe bone), around the middle of the foot, that for some reason gets very little blood flow, so takes forever to heal. The first time it happened, I landed on the side of my foot during taekwondo. I had screws and a plate put in, then rolled on a kneelie-wheelie thing for 3 months. A few months after they took out the plate, so that the bone could grow stronger and not atrophy from lack of use. That was a fail -- six months later it broke again, this time from much less trauma. Luckily I recognized it right away and didn't walk on it, and I managed to avoid surgery. Still had no weight on it for a while. Decades later I still occasionally feel something off in that area, which I've come to think (hope) is scar tissue and/or an imperfect heal. To this day, I won't draft a guy in fantasy who had this break. It happened to Julio Jones (name is a coincidence), twice I believe. He was never the same afterward. I've also had a broken toe and a chip fracture (forget the name) in my wrist. The toe was from bashing a wall turning a corner, and hurt worse at the time than any of them.

Two years ago I was in Italy (30th anniversary trip), but not Rome, during the Ryder Cup. This year we'll be in Manhattan visiting our daughter that week. For the weekend however we are going to... the Catskills, not Long Island. It's like God puts the Holy Grail in my sight but never quite lets me reach it.

Watched the game since my wife is a UM grad. Kid certainly looks like a physical beast. We'll see how he develops as a passer and offense leader.

I'm not moving goalposts, I'm going by the OP. Whatever the meaning, it's never been zero before. The point is zero, fnord. Zero. That's a hive.

Technically, the earth is slightly oblong because of the moon's gravitational pull. But not many people know that.

I appreciate the post. Im not saying there aren't valid reasons to be dissatisfied, in general or with Trump, although the question didn't mention Trump. I'm saying zero. You can't get 100% of a people to say the earth is round, or revolves around the sun. Nobody got a new job, or promotion? Married the love of their life, or had their first child? Retired early, investments doing well? Zero is statistically impossible without significant group think.

What I posted is the obvious, and you are either too obtuse or too gaslit to get my point. Of course, you are one of the Lefties who deludes himself that whacko positions on the Left are just fringe crazies, not mainstream. Yet 0% of Dems are satisfied. None. Nada. That just seems statistically unpossible.

They're not very smart. 0%. It's Jerry's fault!

Wut? I didn't make the poll. Think hard about this: you are saying I've fully bought in because 0% of your side is satisfied.

I'd like to have a serious discussion on legitimate concerns regarding the upcoming Trump presidency. I've got some friends and family who aren't handling this well, much like the 4B and other sky screamers on Tik Tok and the MSDNC. I would like to have a rational discussion with them, and with you. Doing so IMO involves acknowledging legitimate concerns they may have. To that end, please state on an actual concern that the Left might have which is potentially valid. I'd like to acknowledge these in such discussions. Here, I'll start, for @The Real timschochet 's benefit: If Trump institutes the tariffs in the way he's described, it would likely cause a significant increase in prices for a lot of everyday goods. I've argued that this is part of his "art of the deal" to get China to negotiate, but that is my opinion only, so this is a valid concern. I don't want to limit discussion, but I'll say right now that "he said he'd be a dictator on day one" is dumb and not going to make the cut, since this is childish and has been debunked. I'll collect rational concerns in the following post. TIA!

0% can only be explained by an utter and complete mindless lemming gaslit collection of vapid human shells. 0%. You would get higher than that if you asked if murdering innocent babies is bad.

Israel Gaza thread- is the peace agreement still in effect?
jerryskids replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
First, you've gone full retard on the margarita thing. I explained why you are wrong, and you are too stupid to understand, instead responding with "but this one goes to eleven!" Anyone who followed this laughs at you every time you bring it up. I certainly do. Second, you seem to think you know a lot about The Free Press. Does that mean you follow them? If so, why don't you ever post from them? You eagerly post from admitted pro-Hamas hack sites like +972 and DropDeadGaslight. I thought that, being an unbiased moderate, you would post opinions from both sides? It's a conundrum wrapped in an enigma. Hack. Third, yes, I've seen pictures. Have you seen the pictures of the much larger areas which are not destroyed? How about the majority of people who are not starving? No? Probably because those don't exist. That's not newsworthy for you pro-terrorist Lefties. -
Liberal Run Chicago shootings: At least 52 shot, 7 fatally, on Labor Day weekend thus far.

Idle hands are the devil's workshop. All these people have free time because of holidays from their jobs... meh, who am I kidding, these shooters probably don't have jobs. -
Israel Gaza thread- is the peace agreement still in effect?
jerryskids replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
First, I readily admit I'm biased towards the western democracy that could have turned Gaza into glass on 10/8, but didn’t. You are on the side of Hamas, but lack the self-realization to recognize it. Second, The Free Press leans towards Israel, which one would expect from a Jewish run organization, unless you ran it. Meanwhile you have moved from DropDeadGaslighting to +972 Hamas Reuters and the Guardian. -

But sure, some civilians have died. Perhaps you can help me decipher the graph -- do the other evil countries bury their terror tunnels under mosques, hospitals, and schools? So they have the civilians house hostages? -

I don't love my team. I was really shocked that no RBs made it to the 2-3 turn, but Bowers was still there. So I grabbed Bowers, giving me the #1 TE and WR (Chase), but then reached to grab Hampton, who I really like to become the bellcow earlier than later, but it's a risk and it was not great value. I don't love Conner this year as I think Benson may overtake him, but I did get Benson as a handcuff, so that's good. The Cards plan to run a lot this year, so hopefully either one is viable, and if there is an injury, the healthy one should be RB1 possible. I took some risks with young WRs McMillan and Hunter. One of my achilles heels is that I cut my teeth in a deep keeper league, so I have a soft spot for high upside rookies and young guys (see also Hampton). QBs... jeebus, you guys were drafting backups in the 8th round?! I grabbed Caleb and McCarthy (two more upside guys) at the 10-11 turn. Obviously not a strong point of my roster. Interestingly, ESPN thinks I have the 2nd best team, yet I never even looked at their rankings during the draft. Probably the kiss of death for me. But, if some of these upside guys live up to their potential, I should be OK.

Discussion of Concerns for Trump Presidency
jerryskids replied to jerryskids's topic in The Geek Club
My mistake, Sunday. And I meant 20 total, year-old comments. So your big gotcha is that things changed in a year. Should I bump a comment from Obama that marriage is between a man and a woman FTW$#@! -

Margarita Maryland Man Van Holland! Have you ever stopped to think, Tim: for a person like Van Holland, or a reporter from Reuters +972 or AP Hamas Branch, what do you think they are going to report if they go in, or fly over? Do you think they might say, "you know, it looks mostly peaceful, markets are open, people are milling around"? Or do you think they are going to find something, anything, to keep up their narrative that they and you have so deeply bought into? -

This is a remarkable lack of self-awareness. You spent months on a 24/7 autistic tear desperately seeking videos of young men running and IDF shooting sand. BTW, a Reuters camera is a Hamas camera. Or did you forget that Reuters uses a +972 Hamas-nik as it's "journalist"? So let's talk about the camera. I presume Israel says it is there to monitor IDF's activities or some similar security concern. In your world... it's what, going to capture the heinous war crimes that Israel commits daily? If so, where is the footage from before Israel blew it up? Pro tip, there isn't any, because the footage is used by Hamas, as expected.
