Hey there. Incase you're new to Survivor Leagues, here is how it works: 1. Players pick one game for each week of the NFL season. 2. If you choose the winner of the game you move onto the next week. If you choose the loser you are eliminated. If the game ends in a tie you are given the win and move onto the next week. 3. Point spreads are not used to decide the winner. Just choose who you think will win! 4. The last player standing will win the pot! If it comes to the end of the competition and ALL players agree to split the pot then the pot will be split. Also if there is a tie after the Super Bowl, the pot will be split by the remaining players. Pool Rules: 1. The rules are the rules and are not open to interpretation. If you disagree or don’t like them then don’t play. 2. You do not pay each week. The onetime $100 entry fee is paid at the start of the season. 3. There are no re-buy’s. Once you’re out, you’re out. 4. You may choose the same team multiple weeks in a row. 5. The pool will be run through a website that you will receive access to after paying your dues. 6. If you forget to input your picks during any week, the system will default to the largest point spread favorite for that week. 7. Picks will be locked before the first Sunday game each week. Early games can be chosen but need to be picked before the start of the early game. 8. There is a 5% fee taken out of the pool to cover admin costs (I'm using a paid website that's better than Yahoo at this sort of thing). If you have any concerns or questions regarding this rule please see ‘Pool Rules’ #1. 9. In case of emergency, I will be providing my Phone Number and Email address to all participants. 10. Noon today is the deadline... get your picks locked in... don't miss out on this challenging pool.. you all talk the talk on the forums, but can you put your $$ where your mouth is? Clock is ticking... What is an NFL Confidence Pool? Picks are made "straight up", not using a point spread system. Each pool member picks every NFL game for the week. In addition to picking the winning team, members must rank how confident they are that the team they picked will win. The more points assigned to a pick, the more confident they are that team will win. For each correct pick, they receive the number of points they assigned to that pick. Standings are calculated for the week and for the year-to-date. It will be a simple pool, $30 one time entry fee since this is the 1st season of doing it. The pay out will be at the end of the season 50/20/10. The final 20% will be divided evenly throughout the season to the winners according to the weekly standings. Except playoffs. If your team for the week wins, you move on to the next week.. you do not have to pay again if you keep winning... but if your team loses, you will be out of the pool all together, UNLESS you buy back in for another $20 (each time). You can buy back in up until week 6 which means, after week 6, if you lose, you are out, no more buying back in. A revival pool ($5) will start come week 6 for losers and anyone else. If you do not get your picks in on time for the week, the website will automatically choose the LOWEST RANKING team as your pick for you. Deadline for joining will be start of game time week 1. This will go on week after week until we have a LAST MAN STANDING... 1 person will get the jackpot. If for some reason there is a tie by the end, the 2 can decide to continue on or split the pot. BUT, if there are 3 or more.. no splitting pot.. gotta go on.. max 3 teams per player, $20 per team.
