Blitzen 0 Posted March 24, 2005 On the hitting side, I think Matsui and Hudson will surprise this year, while on the pitching side, I think Bedard will show up big. Cliff Lee is a bit of an enigma...it'll be interesting to see who shows up: the guy who pitched lights out early in the year (despite not having great control) or the other version of Lee. njkrauss 0 Posted March 25, 2005 I think preston wilson if heathy could have a huge year. I think bobby crosby will mature into a better all around hitter. I expect big things from Peavy and Burnett. Burnett could move into the top 5-10 arms this year. I'm hoping one of my colorado guys surprises - Holiday or Atkins. Oh, and Miguel Cabrera will turn into Manny. Dagger 0 Posted March 25, 2005 I didn't take any risks on pitchers, I obviouslly hope some outperform recent seasons. As far as hitters, I think this is the year Nick Johnson stays healthy and has a solid year, especially in OBP, and I think Cuddyer could be a 25 homer hitting 2nd baseman. Tusekan Raiders 0 Posted March 25, 2005 David Wright should become the greatest 3B ever this season.
torridjoe 48 Posted March 25, 2005 Iguchi, Reed, Pena and Monroe are the guys I think will step up.
Blitzen 0 Posted March 25, 2005 David Wright should become the greatest 3B ever this season. I really really hesitated between him and Chavez as a keeper, but I figure he'll still have bumps in the road this year. Watch out in 2006 however.

Bill Swerski 0 Posted April 18, 2005 A couple of guys I think will have solid seasons: Brian Giles: Coming off a down season but I think he puts it together to have a quality year and finish as a top 10 OF. Derrek Lee: This is going to be the year that he finally puts it all together. High OBP, and top five in all numbers at the 1B position. Huston Street: He'll be closing out games for the A's by the All Star Break. He is just dominating and is not afraid to pitch the ball inside, he's fearless. Dotel will probably be wearing a Mets uniform... Joe Blanton: The centerpiece of the Fatrolls rebuilding project. I love this kid, not dominating stuff but is a monster on the mound with a great makeup and excellent mechanics. What Kerry Wood SHOULD be but never will. Ditkanate 0 Posted April 19, 2005 Jason Lane? Dontrelle? Bruce Chen? Angel Berroa? I'm hoping Jason Bay, but so far he has been pretty not too greta. Hopefully that will change soon.

Willis has been spectacular. Everyone else on your list, not so much. I have to echo the at Chen.
Ditkanate 0 Posted April 21, 2005 well, this forearm lacks the appropriate smilies to effectively convey sarcasm. i mean, it would be great and all if chen was the second coming of ehhh.... some great pitcher or whatever, but unfortunately, he IS bruce chen after all. also wtf is up with jason lane stealing all these bases? hardcore 2 Posted April 21, 2005 Wow , I'd like to say Pat Burrell. I drafted him in every one of my leagues. It's too late to mention him though. This time it's no fluke. It's the real deal even though he has started off hot before. I think he puts up 40-45 hrs and 115-125 RBI's and he even hovers around a 300 BA(no joke). Another guy that appears to turn it around is Brett Myers, who has posted incredible K-BB ratio's so far. I expect him to have a breakout year. Other ptichers I like to continue are Millwood, Colon, and Willis. All Jim Thome fans out there should worry not as I expect him to turn it around and compete for MVP along with Burrell. I expect Seattle to be an offensive juggernaut. Beltre is for real and will have an excellent season. Honey nut Ichiro looks like he is going to have a career year. Either Vladdy or Matsui are my picks for AL MVP.
