This is the kind of deal that ought to have benefits for both parties. I turn a position of great depth into a starter at a position of need. CB gets a starter at a position where he really needs one and can replace the player he just gave up with his upcoming pick. If he kept the WR he might be forced to grab a QB at #3 who will certainly struggle as a rook and is likely to be on a bad team with little support.
