joeyjoejoe 0 Posted March 28, 2003 How you guys feel about the diffs. in scoring between the RB's and WR's? #1 RB Priest = 361...#1 Wr Harrison = 232. Only 3 Wr's scored over 200 pts. Quite a difference. I propose we it HP scoring with a pt a reception to even things out between the RB's and WR's. Otherwise there is almost no point in starting a WR in the flex spot. 3rd RB's will almost always put up better numbers than your #3 WR. Last season Shipp put up just over 150 total pts....so did Driver, Rice, Coles and Booker. Totally uneven. If you're fine with things the way they are, thats cool too....it just means my first three (or 4) picks will be RB/RB/RB. Uncle P 0 Posted March 30, 2003 I can see where this might be a good idea but it doesn't sit right with me. Won't this widen the gap between the 1st and 2nd tier WRs and RBs? Recievers who get the yards obviously see the ball more. So it pads the top guys numbers disproportionatly to the lowwer recievers (Ones that will likely be in the flex position). Backs like Priest and Faulk are fairly involved in the passing game anyway. So it wouldn't do much to bring WR scores closer to these guys. Just my opinion... Instead of having a flex position why not just make it 3WRs so a line-up would be 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1K 1DST Just a thought, I am in another league that allows you to adjust your starting line-ups 2RB, 3WR, 1TE 1RB, 4WR, 1TE 2RB, 2WR, 2TE 1RB, 3WR, 2TE That way you can adjust easier for bye weeks. Giving the WR's/RB's/TE's 1 point per recp. is one thing but it's been now proposed and seconded to eliminate the flex position -- that would completley alter my draft strategy and rankings. Which is fine if that's what the Majority of the league wants but there needs to be a date set not to far in the future where no more rules proposal can be announced untill after the 03 season. This said : I change my original vote to keep it the way it is and decide if anyhting needs to be changed after the 03 season -- I think we should see how it works as it is right now. In regards to the proposed eliminating of the flex position, I vote no. I would like to keep the lineup as it is, I would also like to point out that this is a dynasty league and the lineup requirements I believe will need to stay the same after we draft for the first time. JMO Apologize for the lateness getting back to you boys. I have received 8 votes wanting the 1pt per reception so it is official. All players will receive 1 pt per reception. As far as the lineup thing goes If you want it voted on then send out an email asking for opinions and votes. I agree there needs to be a cutoff date for league votes but as of right now we are not even close to the season or drafting so I am open to ideas. I want everyone to have their say and be happy with the league so for now you may bring up changes. However once we get closer to the draft we will have to go with what we have.
