fugoondo 3 Posted October 21, 2005 Ive traded away: McNair, Dom Davis, Kevin Jones, Andre Johnson, Alex Smith for: Vick, Mewelde Moore, Stephen Davis, Marvin Harrison, and Chris Cooley Combo of 2 trades.... Now Im stuck with starting: Carson Palmer Edge James Fred Taylor or Mewelde Moore Marvin Harrison Jimmy Smith Chris Cooley JAX D and Shayne Graham. Damnnnn!! I need a win! And trades cost $$ to pull off. I upgraded at TE and WR...but sacrificed serious RB's to do it. If Fred can stay healthy though...with the ease of his remaining schedule, I think I can put together a run at a wild card berth at % ! 12 man league Anyone else done desperate acts to get back in the hunt?? You should never trade away RB depth. You can always find ATLEAST 1 WR to pluhg in from week to week. Depending on matchups.
BBB93005 0 Posted October 21, 2005 I'm 2-4. and have Andre Johnson, Dom Davis too. That pretty much screwed me from the start. Plus lost Javon in week 1 No trades though. Just waiver wire.

fugoondo 3 Posted October 21, 2005 Again...im 1 and 5!!!! Only available weekly fill-ins on waiver wire are Michael Jenkins, the new Tennessee wideout rookie guy. Not even Antonio Bryant is available! I have Lelie too...but he's a POS!! Im confident in Fred Taylor and/or Mew Moore actually. They would be my #2 behind my stud muffin Edge James
fugoondo 3 Posted October 21, 2005 I picked up Chris Perry too just in case. But I also got Stephen Davis in the mix. I basically added Harrison and Cooley to my starting line-up. Got rid of sorry asss Kevin Jones and got Mewelde Moore. Ill miss Dom Davis more than anyone I guess.

fugoondo 3 Posted October 21, 2005 Oh...but he IS a stud muffin. In every sense of the word. We have a pretty cool playoff set-up though. 12 man-league. 3 divisions....4 teams in each division. 2 division winners with the best records get BYE's the first playoff week (WEEK 14)...that leaves the division winner with the lowest winning percentage of the 3 divisions, and 3 Wild Cards to play the first week playoff. Then winners go on to play the 2 BYE week Division winners...then the Championship. WEEK 14- WILD CARD vs DIVISION WINNER WILD CARD vs WILD CARD WEEK 15- WC/DIV vs TOP SEED WC/WC vs 2nd TOP SEED WEEK 16- CHAMPIONSHIP We dont use week 17 because of teams not playing their studs if theyve already clinched. Instead...we have a double-header week 11. So basically....6th place gets in the playoffs!! And currently the 6th place record is at 3-3...so Im only 2 games back!! I havent lost all hope. But its hard to keep the faith.
fugoondo 3 Posted October 21, 2005 Quick question...since we were talking about RB depth. I have an opporunity to trade again for Randy Moss this time. But I would have to send MewMoore or Fred Taylor + Jimmy Smith for Randy Moss. Would you pull the trigger? Or would I have gone too far?? Wrong board I know...but seems appropriate considering these discussions. Id hate to lose jimmy smith considering their schedule. But we're talking Randy Moss. Owner is worried about his injuries.... madd futher mucker 36 Posted October 22, 2005 I like the trades you made so far to improve your team, and I would normally advise you to trade for Moss; however, in view of his groin injury I would stay away. Complete recovery from groin pulls can be hard to predict and can impair players who try to come back too soon - like Moss did last year. So proceed with this trade at your own peril! BTW, please read my post 'extreme makeover'.
