Dan 66 Posted October 27, 2005 While I think you have a point, Cap, there's something to be said for a larger margin of victory. The Steelers are playing not just a division rival, but a hated division rival. They will come pumped up. And because of that, I see the offensive line having their way with the front seven of the Ravens, more than normally expected. Understand that they normally do well against the Ravens, and against Ray Lewis, whom Dan Kreider has blocked effectively against in the past. Without him, it could be disastrous for them. If the Ravens have a hard time stopping the Steelers' running game, Ben will have a field day, which in real terms means that your 22 passes are pretty right on. I suspect, though, that you'll see another score or two from the Steelers offense, especially as they wear the Ravens down. A side note: I really like what the Steelers have done this year in terms of second half production. Another story, another thread. Defensively, they should be able to stop whatever the Ravens throw at them, especially because they can't stand them, and won't take them for granted. Too many past physical battles with them. I really think that the Steelers pull away in this one. STEELERS 24, RAVENS

FrankRizzo 0 Posted October 27, 2005 So Chester is finally getting 19 carries and Lewis 12? Where's the link? I agree won't be HIGH scoring though. I see a lot of running and pounding and 3-outs and punting and clock grinding and game ending to quickly to become a high scoring affair.
rebooters 1 Posted October 27, 2005 24-13. steelers will just run all over them. limited roth passing. maybe 15 attempts all game. lots of carries for willie and look out for a lot of bettis. with so much running going on this game, both bus and FWP will get their share. ravens cant score on steelers. im guessing 2 field goals and a trash time touchdown to give them 13 pts at best. ACL tear 0 Posted October 27, 2005 I dont even see the Ravens getting 13 points. They average 11 or so and the Steel D is very good.
mickeyk9 0 Posted October 27, 2005 No Ray RayNo Reed Stillers 56 Ratbirds 3 steelers were 15-1 last season with a decimated line and a rookie QB. Not saying the Ravens are the Steelers by any means, but don't underestimate fresh players (filling in for injured players) on the field and a team with nothing (more) to lose. ravenman73 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Wow! Definately no love for the Ravens in this thread. While yes, the Steelers are playing much better football right now, I wouldn't stick a fork in the Ravens just yet. They have not played the Steelers or the Bengals yet this season (still a chance to win the division) ha, ha. Now I, as well as the Ravens themselves know it would be a tall task to win Mon. night in Pitt., its not impossible. Their games have always been close, historically. The Ravens seem to have their # at home to. Not saying the Ravens will win, but they are a desperate team, in need of a spark to get them going. In Pitttsburgh Monday night would be a HUGE one. Go RAVENS!

E Money 0 Posted October 28, 2005 It may be close for the first half, but the Stillers run away with this one. As a Baltimore native & fan I can write that the Stillers will win. 27-10.
Zaphod 0 Posted October 28, 2005 With Lewis and Reed out of the lineup, the middle of that defense is very suspect. Add to that the fact that Miller is getting more looks and more involved in the offense, I could see a bigger impact from Heath and the passing game. Then the Steelers wear them down with the running game. For all the history of these two teams and their rivalry, I just don't see it being close.

Captian America 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I think there will be an emotional let down from being all fired up last week against the Bengals and will not be up as much for a game where they are clearly the favorites.
Niners_fan 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Steelers will crush the ravens. 31-7 or something like that. No Ray Ray or Reed means big problems for that already troubled D that has had difficulty adjusting to the 4-6 and is on the field for a long ass time. No qb and no run game compiles the inevitable crushing loss. Pitt D is going to destroy the joke ravens o.
