Guest Karim Abdul-Jabbar Posted October 27, 2005 off-season? true indeed but here is just a tiny list of people who have helped no one that EVERY site proclaimed will be a good player: Q.Griffin (04) T.Bell (05) T. Calico Rex Grossman Keary Colbert and yet there was virtually no hype for Galloway, T.Glenn, Bledsoe, Brunell etc... what good is the off-season besides news and mock drafts (although they can be misleading as well) who truly though Culpepper would be better with out Moss and worthy of a 1st or 2nd rd pick??? I sure didnt and i assume most here didnt either. And if that is the case, why pay much attention....

RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted October 27, 2005 A good example is Caddy. If you were here in the off season you would have heard about how Gruden coached him the Senior Bowl, was fired up when he drafted him, and so forth. I for one was surprised at his immediate success, but he was my #1 Rookie RB by a long shot because of stuff like that that I heard here. Then again, many here liked JJ Arrington too

alexpketon 0 Posted October 27, 2005 I must admit I got sucked into the JJ Arrington hype. I didn't take him over Brown or Caddy but still much higher then he deserved.

I think a lot of people got scared off by Ricky and RBBC possibilities.

Zackattack 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I have got plenty of good advise from this site. you keep up on year round news. If you paid attention you knew that S.Smith was back. There was a certian amount of hype for S.Jackson and L.Jordan. Yes there were players such as Burleson and others who have not lived up to the hype.

ft_ball_fn 1 Posted October 28, 2005 Any site that doesn't go down/off line in the off season is a good site. I can't get enough football news in the off season... free agency, etc keeps it interesting (to me) year round. I like hearing who's working on a stronger O-line, who's crazy about a RB (Caddy), who's coming into camp in the best shape of his career... etc. That's all good stuff. The mock drafts and stuff like that are just extras (fun but not necessary..).
