sow 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Thinking of picking him up and dropping A.Johnson. Will Engram be ready after the bye. If so he should be #1 target for at least 2-3- weeks till DJax is back and servicable after that even. Any word on the ribs and if he'll be ready week 9? From what I've read, he was running fine but was not ready to take any hard hits. He's expected back after their bye.

andr3w 0 Posted October 28, 2005 holt moss and darrel jackson is there a good reason to get rid of them at this point
Vols 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Thanks for the info guys. Better long term than A.Johnson?? Yes....I traded AJ 3 weeks ago and kept Engram throughout his injury. Engram will get 5-8 receptions a game with good yardage. AJ is going nowhere with an injury and the worst offense in football. People need to get over the so called reputation that AJ is a top WR. He's still living on a reputation from 2 years ago.
treewarden 1 Posted October 28, 2005 I just grabbed Engram hoping he comes out of the bye week the starter. Have DJax but am worried as not much good news has come out lately. Dumped AJ 2 weeks ago as I couldn't even package him in a deal.
Tankslap 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Thanks for the info guys. Better long term than A.Johnson?? Definitely. In a PPR league, most definitely.
OuttaLuck 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Thanks for the info guys. Better long term than A.Johnson?? I think a Gatorade bucket has more potential than A. Johnson at this point--at least one of Carr's errant passes, as he's being flattened once again due to horrid offensive line play, might drop into the bucket for a 20 yard gain. Seriously, though, what surprises me is that Johnson (before his injury) didn't get some "garbage time" receptions with Houston trailing all the time (I heard on the radio that the Texans are the only team never to have had a lead in a game this season--I can't vouch for the accuracy of that comment, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's correct). Any Houston fans out there who can help explain why Johnson(again, pre-injury) became "The Invisible Man" even when the Texans were behind?
SFGeek 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I think Engram can be a 2nd half stud. Just look at this schedule after the bye this week. Pretty sexy. Sun 11/6 at Arizona 4:05 pm Sun 11/13 St. Louis 4:15 pm Sun 11/20 at San Francisco 4:05 pm Sun 11/27 NY Giants 4:15 pm Mon 12/5 at Philadelphia 9:00 pm Sun 12/11 San Francisco 4:05 pm Sun 12/18 at Tennessee 1:00 pm Sat 12/24 Indianapolis 4:15 pm Sun 1/1 at Green Bay 4:15 pm
tdsteve_2000 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Im hoping so. The Engram owner in my league dropped him to cover a bye and I snatched him up quickly. I think he will be a excellent WR3, and possibly a good WR2 while DJax is out.

Any Houston fans out there who can help explain why Johnson(again, pre-injury) became "The Invisible Man" even when the Texans were behind? Really simple. You can't do anything if your QB doesn't have time to throw down field. Carr is on pace to break the record for number of times sacked in a season. The only thing they can get done is whatever DD gives them in both the running game and the short passing game.
