PWFFL 0 Posted March 12, 2006 1st Poll of the new era!! I'm voting stay so I can see him and the Packers continue to suck. hmmm continue to suck? I believe Farve has only had one losing season in his entire career or 14 years. Do you know of any other team that has gone the last 14 years with only one losing season? I honestly dont know, but I'm sure its not many, if any at all.

He has 1 SB ring so he has 13 losing seasons. HTH How has he been doing in playoff games the past few years? How many ints has he cost his team wins the past few years? More ints and more losing for the Pack....priceless...
adam smitty 0 Posted March 12, 2006 As a Packer fan I really have mixed feelings about Favre returning for another season. It would be fun from a spectator's point of view just to watch him play one more season, and at least keep the team competitive. But it would probably be a wasted effort. I really don't like the direction that the team is headed and IMO it will be a couple years before we get dug out of this hole. Might as well just start the rebuilding now, unless Thompson decides to be a serious player in free agency and make some moves that could help the team win NOW. ROBOKOP 0 Posted March 12, 2006 I would like Favre to return. He still has the skills. If nothing else, come out and tell everyone, this is it, this is the last season and dedicate yourself knowing that everything is on the line and there will be no more controversy after this final year. Favre is within reach of several records; Favre never has been one to go after records, but human instinct has to make you hunger for an old nearly impossible record that is within your grasp. Favre doesnt mant to deal with what he had to this last year, he wants to go out having fun. He is waiting to see and how he feels with this team if he will be able to play competitively and have fun. Favre is my boy and I want to see him on elast time, kowing that this is it. Otherwise, you just have to go back and think, oh yeah, that was the last game he played, and not really be satisfied.

bigfische 0 Posted March 12, 2006 i think it has to be hard to justify the type of money he will want to come back. If javon goes he has basically the same team as last year and that didnt work out to well. Why waste money on him for a season that would be considered a success at .500? Why not throw rodgers in the fire and see what happens, it would give them cap space for defense and/or more wrs.
Sho Nuff 720 Posted March 12, 2006 This is really an unhealthy obsession you have with him.
Walter34 3 Posted March 12, 2006 He's nowhere near the qb he was several years ago. He cant carry them to wins anymore and a couple of untimely picks are now expected each game. Last year was the 1st year that I didnt sweat playing the Pack. The Bears sweeping them was a foregone conclusion. Reasons he should retire: Team cap space - While they are in good shape, he will eat up a ton. They could make major FA noise without him that will help for years to come, not just this year. Aaron Rodgers. They need to see what they have in him right away. Delaying the answer prolongs the years that the Pack will be below average Legacy - Dont pull an emmitt or Jerry and stay around too long. Preserve the legacy and go out without embarassing yourself. New coach / system - Learning a new system is never easy and the new coaches need to be in charge rather than be stiffled by catering to Bret and his swansong season. One of the all time greats, but that is not the here and now and staying around so the fans can get one last glimpse of what once was hurts the franchise long term. The fans are smart enough to know what's right.
