jiujitsugod71 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Everything I've read, says Reggie is the second coming. But alot of people are saying he's only gonna get 10 to 15 touches a game. If you draft a studd like Bush, wouldn't you play him every chance you get? I know he's only 201 pounds(supposedly he's gonna bulk up to about 208), but he's taller(6foot) and just a little lighter than Barry Sanders. The Lions gave Barry the rock every chance they got, and he was a superstar. I've aquired the #1 pick in our rookie draft via trade, and I wanted to take Bush, but he has to get more than 10 to 15 carries, right? Any opinions would be appreciated. Portis26 0 Posted March 13, 2006 With DDavis in the mix, I can't see Bush getting the full load... he has been a prt of a RBBC in Denver so Kubs will use them both effectively... not good from a Fantasy perspective, but a winning formula nonetheless
Super Cubs 154 Posted March 13, 2006 10 to 15 touches a game if he lands in Houston. Which from a fantasy stand point would suck but would be great for the Texans as for winning games. Who has had a hard time keeping a RB healthy. It would give Bush time to develope and Dom a chance to stay healthy. And maybe the Texans can win a few more games. jiujitsugod71 0 Posted March 13, 2006 I hope the Texans trade the pick to a team that will use him more.

You can't compare Bush to Barry in terms of height and weight. 5'8" 200# is completely different than 6'0" 200#. Barry was extremely stocky and had enormous legs. Even so if guys did get ahold of Barry, they could throw him around. That says, Bush does have sick moves and agility. And he has more top speed and receiving ability than Sanders so I'm not saying he won't be great. If you want to look for hope for Bush at his weight, try Terrell Davis. Davis was 5'11" 210#, so if Bush bulks up like you said he's expected to, he'll be close to that. Then all he'll need is Davis' line and he can have Davis' success rushing. Bush did measure 5-11, 201 at the combine. Davis started his career at 190 before bulking up. Bush's athleticism and vision exceeds Davis' and they aren't even on the same plane in terms of moves, speed, and acceleration. Bush will be fine. As he gets older, he'll likely put on some of that "man weight" that happens a little more naturally as you enter your mid-twenties. I'd be surprised if he isn't eventually the main ball carrier where ever he lands.
