TO Not Participating in Voluntary Workouts

Recommended Posts

I like your plan for the Eagles completely.....I would even be content with Stallworth if we couldnt get Walker. I dont kow Hillenmeyer that much.

Hillenmeyer could be had for a 5th round pick. He doesn't carry the name or the ESPN highlights like Arrington, but he's young and solid. In the Eagles defensive scheme, they require their outside LBs to just be in the right spot. The SAM has to be able to play the run at the point of attack and cover the TE. Hillenmeyer does both, and does it very solidly.

I would start him at SAM, and move Jones back to his naturaly WILL position. Let the other guys earn their playing time during camp, not be given the starting job because Reid fails to take care of the defense.

I saw the same thing happen with Eagles fans when they got TO. A lot of excuses why he is acting the way he is. It's only a matter of time before he topples another organization.

I don't really see Dallas fans making excuses, just like I don't remember Eagle fans making excuses for him. To be honest, this is really a non-issue. Unfortunately, there is such a stigma associated with TO that even when he blows his nose it's an issue.

It's an issue because TO had a chance to make a statement and didn't. This is a good sign that he has not changed at all and is still the most selfish player in the history of team sports. That's all, nothing new, no big deal, what you saw is what you get.

TO's a walking contradiction. I think he's more of a walking freakshow for the media as opposed to "superstar athlete".

I believe Dr. Phil should report on TO more than ESPN and the local papers.

What chaps my azz is the simple fact that the Philly media just can't let it go. They think we actually care what TO does, when in fact, everyone's moved on.

The guy will show up in better shape than anyone else on the team and this will be long forgotten.

you're probably right - but that's not what people are saying the problem is. he thinks that because he's in better shape that he can do whatever he wants and get special treatment thereby alienating the other members of his team. all he had to do was show up on the first day as a sign of good faith and then say he he had to leave because of prior commitments. instead he lets the opportunity pass him by. a wasted opportunity in my opinion, and if i were in his shoes something i wouldve taken advantage of knowing that all eyes are on me. simple politics really. dallas fans are passing it off as nothing because they dont want to believe that there might be a problem here, same way eagles fans did all along. the bottom line though is that his inaction under these circumstances only supports his wayward actions and attitude...
